Orgeron expects to have a “darn good offensive line” despite having some new faces.

Orgeron also commented on the offensive line. He expects Dare Rosenthal back (he didn’t participate in spring ball for personal reasons) and said Chasen Hines is doing well training to be the new center. Also, incoming freshmen Marcus Dumerville, Xavier Hill and Marlon Martinez are “working their tails off,” he said.

One thing about the spread offense I noticed was the lack of injuries. By being spread there were less of those scrums where bodies fall awkwardly on OL's knees and ankles that cause those injuries. I think that was critical last year because we have said for decade we always are plagued by so many injuries on the line.

What's the work on Kardell Thomas, Ree. Haven't heard anything about him in a while unless I missed it, which is entirely possible.

Rosnethal's potential has always been through the roof and he played a lot last season.

Our OL is laways going to look better than years past when we give the QB passing options and throw short routes to keep the defense honest when passrushing.

I have no inside connections but the general feeling is that the staff thinks Anthony Bradford is better. Not saying that Kardell isn't or won't be good in his own right, I have just heard rave reviews about Bradford.

Good point.

ReDeculus said he got rolled on and missed a couple plays of one game.

Definitely less injuries than in the past.

Coach Eaux said that in his signing day recap speech. He has always said that Bradford was a road-grader and was #1 on LSU's Oline list and that they thought he was a top 3 OL in the country that year.

And it was definitely not a knock on Mr Pancake but just how highly they think of Bradford.

We also had really good depth most of the year

We had Rosenthal and Magee at the tackles and Ingram as a backup Guard whenever Magee played tackle.

2 quality versatile OL backups can go a long way if you’re not getting wrecked by injuries left and right.

True, Magee played quite a bit more than I think most would realize.

Luckily the other 2 are coming back. If Ingram improves on his freshman season performance he should be a legit force to have to deal with for the opposition.

Ingram was playing a ton last year

I am Pretty confident at LT, LG and RT.

I think Hines will be a good center and honestly we have enough talent to find a RG between Bradford and Thomas.

Tackle depth is a bit of a concern but we’ll see.

A.Gilbert as a WR. Imagine the look on a DB's face when Gilbert breaks out of the huddle & lines up in his face. Or put him in the slot, next to a TE & then run a toss sweep behind them. I would have loved to have seen him & Moss lined up on the same side & JB put Clyde in motion to that side of the field. While Jefferson & Chase run routes over the middle and deep.

Bradford pancaked enough defenders to pave Muskegon toward three consecutive Division 3 state championship appearances, including a title in 2017.

He benched 225 pounds a camp-leading 31 times at the Rivals Challenge last summer — a total that would have ranked within the top five in last year's NFL combine.

Muskegon's head football coach, Shane Fairfield, doesn't want to say Bradford is a "once-in-a-lifetime athlete."

Meet LSU signee Anthony Bradford, the 'once-in-a-lifetime' Michigan offensive tackle

The two players are already close friends, and Bradford largely credits Thomas — the de facto bandleader of the 2019 recruiting class — as the reason he committed to LSU last May. Thomas said they met at an all-star camp in Atlanta and bonded over "talking noise to the other guys."

Fairfield said that over the course of Bradford's recruitment, Cregg said that LSU had Bradford ranked the No. 1-rated offensive tackle on their recruiting board — although 247Sports and ESPN had him placed as a top 15 offensive guard.

"Coach Orgeron has said the same thing," Fairfield said. "He's said, 'This is one of the best players I've ever seen. The ability, feet and just downright athleticism.'
