You’ve got some kid that grew up in a financially struggling household, now he’s got a chance to cash in on an NFL contract worth more money than his family has seen in generations. You want him to risk that for a meaningless bottom tier bowl game? Maybe he’ll play and not suffer an injury, or he could turn out like Matt Corral.

You are correct. You are quitting on your teammates; there is no other way to look at it. I hope these guys understand the business decision involved if they do not get drafted or if they get cut. Just business.

You hear it all the time from the best coaches - Winning teams always have players playing, not just for themselves, but for each other…. They Don’t want to let their fellow teammates down.

We have a crop of guys that do not meat that standard. Too many of our guys play for themselves.

Why is quitting preseason, mid-season, and for bowl games all of a sudden a “thing”.

Why haven’t players quit in the past? The NFL draft has always been there. So why now? It’s a reflection of our society and culture.

How was the Texas A&M game meaningful if your not gonna play in the bowl game?

I would think yes. Kids that struggled will have oodles of character from having to fight for everything. Thats a trait to be admonished too...
