They apparently passed on the game.
I wonder if Tulane demands were not worth the hassle for Ronnie Rantz to cover it?

I’ve seen it before where they just overlay the radio call, though. Not sure why they don’t do that more often.

people are trying to make it seem like Tulane is charging $7 to watch this game to make money off LSU fans, Tulane has little to do with the game not being on tv.

Go the game -- bleacher seats are available and very reasonably priced at $35.

Tulane must make its entire baseball budget from this one game.

From LSU Sports.Net

"98.1 FM / Live Audio / Live Video ($) / Live Stats / Twitter"

You can listen to free audio of the game on the LSU website.

The only way to watch will be to pay for it or hope that beauchristopher streams it.

Agree when there are good announcers, baseball is a sport I would just as well listen to on the radio as watch on TV. IF the announcers are GOOD.

Here’s a CSB. TL, DR: Tulane offered students a chance for free season tickets; Tulane ripped the LSU game out of each ticket booklet so they could sell the tickets without giving them to us for free. Yes, the game is that important apparently.

I got a degree from Tulane some years back. Student tickets were largely free, but weren’t guaranteed.

In my second year, Tulane was offering students the chance to get free general admission baseball season tickets (which guaranteed admission to all games and an actual seat) if students attended a women’s basketball tournament game at home in an effort to draw out crowds for the Women BB game. No exceptions were advertised.

Knowing that LSU was playing a midweek that year, I saw my oppportunity to get free tickets to that game (the only one I cared about) for free. Not only that, but I saw the chance to get free tickets for my whole family by making 4 or 5 friends tag along.

My group of friends, along with about 50students that I could count, showed up for the game. A few people left when they announced the tickets would be given out after the game so no one could just get them and leave. My friends and I sat through one of the most brutal, god awful spectacles just so I could get my free tickets. I was forever grateful.

When the game ended, we walked out and the staff was handing out the baseball books to the students as we left. We waited in line and all got our books and walked outside. I immediately asked my friends to turn to the LSU game, tear them out, and hand them over.

We all turned through the book and instantly noticed that the LSU game tickets were physically torn out of each book, depriving everyone of the “free” tickets they were promised. I’ve never been so pissed in my life, and decided that day that Tulane was a complete piece of shite.

So yes, the revenue is apparently that important to those bastards.
