One thing that will be fun to watch.........

I can remember that pre-BCS season of 1994. The Gumps went perfect in the regular season, and got beat by Florida 24-23 in the first SECCG at the Georgia Dome. The Gumps headed to the Citrus Bowl and beat Ohio State if I remember right. I can remember the Gumps all wanting to commit suicide by jumping off the roof of their mobile homes simultaneously

Don't you guys need to be worrying about your own team. Saban has done a lot for Bama and I am proud to have him. He has far exceeded my expectations for this year. We will not look at it as a failure if we don't go to or win the SEC every year. You know as well as I do, SEC is a hard conference and may the best team win.

Have you guys seen the J Lee/ J Jefferson / Co DC threads? I think we've worried about our team enough

That being said, no coach in recent history has won a NC at two different schools. Saban is a great coach, and Alabama a storied program to be sure. That being said, is he better than any of the other coaches who have changed schools or in 15 years will we be talking about him in the same breath as Bobby Ross?

Bobby was also a coach that won a national championship at one school, left it, and wound up coaching at another storied program

Well if you really believe that you are one of a very few. Just look at our fanbase. We have lost 2 games every yr for the past few and all of a sudden we lose 3 and the team is on the skids and in trouble. With success comes the ugly side of the fanbase that will expect nothing other than wins every year from here on out.

Ala. has far exceeded....next year was supposed to be their year...We all knew Saban would build that team if given enough time...but he has done so in record time....I don't see them beating Fla...I don't see anyone beating Fla....but they made a good run and turned the corner with their program...The SEC is all the better for it...congrats Alabama.

I'd be proud of Saban and the team if I were a Bama fan. Plus it's likely you'll finish the regular season undefeated and with five road wins, a huge accomplishment. Question: what would constitute success in your mind over say the next 3-4 years:

• Win an SEC WEst title or two
• Win an SEC championship or two
• Go to the national championship game once or twice
• Win at least one NC
• Other

The reason I'm asking is with all the hype about Saban, I'd expect anything less than at least one NC in the next 3-4 years would be a disappointment, unacceptable given the expectations. Am I right or wrong?

If Florida doesn't stomp Blammer in the SEC championship game I'll be very surprised!

Bama hasn't done anything since I have been alive. Last time I checked we have won two BCS national championships while you guys were marrying your sisters and losing to ULM.
