Competition? Where? There was nor will there be a QB competition. JD was BK’s chosen one so get used to it.

Jake Peetz was actually good, we just had zero decent runningbacks.

Seeing Nabers yardage next to Boutte’s this year tells me Boutte shot himself in the foot. Nabers had no problem getting the ball.

This take is so stupid. He had an open competition and chose Daniels. Team was projected 5th in the west, and ended up 1st in the west.

Just based off of that I would say he made the correct decision.

So LSU threw the ball more efficiently in 2022 than 2021

Your listed statistics do not reflect that...

Look at the backups in these games airing it out. JD had all season and we’re still on a losing streak

Can someone please explain why WR production was so poor this year compared to 2020 and 2021?

Because we ran a real offense this year and involved more than just the WRs.

RB playing QB, that could not read defenses, throw down field, or make decisions.
But aren’t we glad he’s coming back… (sigh…)

Let’s talk about last year.

Which year do you think we averaged more passing yards per game?

Well that’s 2022

But let’s take away the bowl game and the UGA game Nuss Started

What do you think the difference is per game?

2021 -264 YPG
2022 - 242 YPG

Let’s look at our starters YPA

Oh it’s 7.5 for both of them.

We had less passing YDs

But we had a lot more rushing TDS.

We scored 56 more TDS in 14 games than we did last year.

So why are you bitching?

You pass more when you are trailing resulting in more passes, more completions and more passing yardage.

He’s also not anywhere close to as bad as many others claim. He’s a flawed, inconsistent college QB with a low floor at his worst and a surprisingly high one at his best. We’ve got at least two of them on this team.

You mean the QB that came in to a total rebuild and lead his team to the SECW title? That guy?

Yep. No one else should suit up in the bowl gsme. Just jd. He can do it all it seems

There are numerous issues but the biggest is JD not trusting what he sees , making anticipatory throws, and being able to move through progressions quickly.
We had to put Boutte in the slot just so JD could find him.

If LSU had started Nussmeier and won 9 games heading into a Bowl Game, beat Alabama, won the SEC West and has a chance to end the year with 10 wins and possibly ranked in the Top 10 would you still be so damn critical of the QB?

I doubt it.

2022 WRs 2,646 yards 15TD

2021 WRs 3,092 yards 31TD

So LSU threw the ball more efficiently in 2022 than 2021
———————————————————————-
Hahaha this is hilarious and shows how delusional some of the fan base is. The facts you shared totally contradicts what you are saying. In 2021, according to your stats, they threw for 446 more yards and 16 more TD’s than in 2022, yet the passing game is less efficient? You had trouble in math didn’t you? This is also how delusional some are about how good they think JD is. I also don’t think he’s as bad as some think either though.

Any QB1b would get at least a series when QB1a was playing like shite for an entire half to 3 quarters.
It never happened. There was no close QB competition.
What’s stupid is thinking there was some close competition.
And nothing in the post discussed results or correct decision to start JD.
