If Alleva gets sufficient egg on his face then maybe he will be fired this season too.

I think if anything this situation and how he has handled it has improved his standing in most LSU people's eyes.

It's not over yet. I have a feeling we're still gonna get royally screwed.

Top notch coaches love coming to programs without an athletic director and that are in total turmoil.

Alleva did nothing wrong here. Put your pitch forks away.

Alleva has given fans a lot of reason to trash him, but this is not one of them. He's shown more sack this week than I would have ever given him credit for

You're an a-hole.

As much heat as Alleva takes for not listening to rantards on every issue, he should be appreciated for doing a great job and showing guts on the Fla forfeit. He deserves recognition.

I think LSU (Alleva) had won the PR argument this past weekend. I was proud of his NOV 19th stance. However his OCT 29 stance is just stupid. That bye week hasn't done much for LSU and insisting on Bama playing at least 10 straight games forcing other teams to change is stupid and making LSU to be the culprit when LSU was not initially. I still think the best solution is to play 12-3 if any team is a half game behind or ahead and the outcome would possibly change the Atlanta participants in anyway. We may have to wait till the end of the season in NOV to determine that but maybe not. Then play that game if necessary, but let everyone know after the OCT 29 games or at least after the NOV 5 games the possibilities. Most of the bowls could still be slotted on 12/4 or 5 anyway.

Agreed. Foley swung his dick around last week. Now its Allevas turn. I don't think he agrees to anything that puts LSU at a disadvantage.

One other thing I'll add: Allevas brash and blunt statements are very telling of his frustration in that it's obvious to him that Florida intended to play this to their advantage. He obviously can't come out with that accusation, but he sure as hell can imply it, and I think he's been as clear as he can be without saying it literally.

Foley over played his hand, and Alleva is letting him know.
