Hiring Canada as OC and Tommie Robinson as RC/RB coach and extending Aranda's contract does matter.
They are good hires....

Good question ...I'll say no to that , I'll take this over Miles only because he continuously made me believe change was coming and it never materialized . At least with Canada and Aranda , I really enjoy these two coaches . Aranda , to me, is the best defensive coordinator in the nation and I really buy into what Canada wants to do on offense.
I'll admit , the model , if it works could revolutionize the coaching game. I am not certain LSU can strike gold with hiring coordinators every few years , however.

You obviously didnt do your homework about the situation at ole miss before and under Ogeron. Do you think Cutcliff just up and left to go to take a coordinator job because it was a better than being a head coach in the sec? Look if you wanna bash O that's you but at least know what happened at Ole Miss instead of making lazy uninformed assumptions about why it didn't work there. C'mon Rick you're better than that.

Nothing signed and faxed to the LSU operations center but a five star running back from Miami visited LSU for the spring game because of Tommie Robinson who was also recruiting him to USC.
The result here is that the 5-star probably wouldn't have visited otherwise. Recruiting is a much longer season than football itself.
quote:
LSU head man Ed Orgeron and running backs coach/recruiting coordinator Tommie Robinson are spearheading the efforts with Cook. They are in regular communication. Orgeron was on the phone with the 6-foot, 181-pound tailback last weekend, and Robinson has been recruiting the Miami native since he was at Southern Cal.

The reason USC made the cut is because of Cook’s relationship with Robinson, who spent 2016 on the Trojans staff. That bond continued in Robinson’s new role at LSU.

Cutcliffe was under .500 only twice at Ole Miss. O won 3 conference games in 3 years. Did you do your research?

Him and Frank Wilson steered Joe away from LSU. They did their job, if he wasn't going to Ole Miss why let him go to a division rival,
