One AP Voter already vowing to keep LSU #1 no matter what...

Oh, the Tigers can score fewer points than Alabama in the BCS title game but they can’t lose his No. 1 vote. They’ve done enough. That’s Gee’s belief and he intends reinforce it with his Associated Press ballot.
The 39-year old radio host in Albuquerque, N.M. is going to vote LSU No. 1 pretty much win or lose following the BCS title game.
“It would have to be something like a 63-0 pasting [by Alabama],” for Gee to change his mind, he told CBSSports.com this week.
His is a stance we haven’t heard of this week as talk of a split national championship starts to bubble up. Now we have a face and a name and reasons why LSU should stay No. 1 in AP. That’s the only place it could happen, by the way, if Alabama wins. The coaches’ No. 1 vote is committed to the BCS title game winner, although there have been some defectors among voting coaches over the years.
“They’ve beaten Alabama once, what else do they need to do?” Gee said of LSU.

Perfect reason some people as this idiot shouldn't be allowed to have a vote

The defeatist attitude and discussions of some Tiger fans on this board is pretty stupid. Why are you preparing yourself mentally for a loss in one thread, and talking about how amazing our Tigers are in another? Take it somewhere else, because a "split championship" is bullshite. There is one champion at the end of a season, and that's the team holding the crystal ball.

Andy Staples said on the Dan Patrick Show this morning that if the game was close he believed LSU would receive a split NC from the AP.
What is the point of the BCS if it still can't give us a true national champion?

Don't care. Don't want it. Only thing that matters is that we have the crystal football.

Interesting choice of insult "Jwodie". I didn't realize anyone who has graduated from middle school still uses the word "chode". I must say, it does make you look awfully intelligent.

The biggest travesty has already occurred when a one loss non-conference, non-conference division champion was picked over a one loss conference winner with more quality wins.
It would be a whole other travesty to split the NC again. I don't want to lose to bama, but if they do win, they are the champions. We can't control who we play in the NC, but we sure can control how badly we beat the piss out of them. I want 14-0. I don't care if we had to play Bama every game this season, I want that crystal ball.

This has been my main point all along. The BCS was supposed to give us a satisfying end result to the season. Split NC was fairly common before the BCS was created. It was frustrating as a fan. Since the BCS, we have only had 2 agreeably frustrating results; undefeated Auburn in 2004 and LSU and USC in 2003. With the choice of Alabama in the BCSNCG, we are poised for a potentially unsatisfying result.
