re: Once again JLee gets thrown into a less than optimal situation

He's a 5th year senior with playing time every year the past 3 years. That's more than most starters in the SEC this year have had. He'll be fine. I'll root like heck for whoever is wearing purple and gold.

difference this time is that we have Mettenberger on the bench...
Yep, I don't think LSU is in such a bad position this time around. Miles will still have a two QB system if needed no matter who the two are IMO

I do agree this is a better spot than Jlee's compared to 08
Of course it is, he's a senior now. I just don't understand the angle of this thread to be honest.

To praise the Great White Hope that is JLee

Another fricking pity party for Lee.

This.
And not a moment too soon.

If J Lee can lead us to the NC or something crazy, this would be an unreal story.
Disney will buy the rights. It'll be the uplifting Feelgood Movie of the Summer 2014.
Fellow Saints players will start calling him Seabiscuit Lee.
I personally think he lights up Oregon if the opportunity presents itself.

Don't laugh, but there's always Randall too.

There are dozens of threads just today way worse than this. As least it's dealing with a football game.

What would have been optimal? I don't see a problem with putting a senior in who has been in the system for 4 years. Hopefully, he goes on the field ready to tear it up.

Sort of...and that's a stretch.
It's really trying to say poor JLee is being thrown into an impossible situation. If he pulls this off, he's awesome. Give me a break.

This has the makings of a Cinderella story.

Especially a 5th year senior who started nearly his entire RS Freshman season. This should be pretty damn optimal for Lee. C'mon people.

Got it. You just can't stand Lee.

Let's Go General Lee!!!

Not the case at all. I support whoever is in there. I just can't stand the whole Lee vs Jefferson thing that most seem so obsessed with.
I really don't see how anyone could feel SO strongly about Lee over Jefferson at this point, or vice versa. Both have played significant snaps in the last 3-4 years, and neither has proven to be a great QB. So it's somewhat mind boggling how so many fans can be so emotionally tied to one or the other. And it just seems like the Lee supporters are WAY more emotional than those that support JJ.
Just seems weird to me.

less than optimal situation

All JJ needs is about three or four more years under the right coach and he could be a great college QB. He has a lot of talent.
