On Finebaum show, Texas caller said it's a longshot that Woodward will stay.

at A&M because A&M Chancellor is angry that Woodward fired Kennedy.

Just reporting what I just heard.

edit: The caller wasn't just giving an opinion, said it was a story from a Dallas news outlet (newspaper or radio show).

A&M has all that they have going for them, all that money, and they still have no confidence in themselves

Its actually hilarious. Longhorns really did a number on them.

Despite living in College Station, I have no inside information, but this can't be true. Surely Buzz Williams is a huge step up from Billy Kennedy (A&M was putrid this year), and money whipping Buzz (even though he was known to have ties to College Station, and some desire to take the job) could not have happened without Sharp's involvement and approval.

It’s the Aggie boards that are talking about Sharp running off Woodward.

There are some on the aggie boards that think there is tension between Woodward and Sharp, but most of the comments I have seen are how Sharp botched it by including only a $40,000 buyout in Woodward's contract, and concern that Sharp won't step up in a bidding war with LSU. If I'm Sharp, I think Woodward has already done the heavy lifting getting Jimbo and Buzz, facilities are in good shape for a while, let somebody else be the c caretaker for a while rather than bidding aggressively against LSU. This morning, I was pessimistic that LSU could leverage Woodward away from A&M, but I have to admit, its at least looking promising.

Hearing that A&M AD Scott Woodward, who grew up around #LSU and worked there, could be very tempted by the Tigers' AD vacancy. A&M's own thorny leadership dynamic at the top in College Station could be a factor.

Would that suffice as revenge for having a football game literally stolen after winning it 5 different times?

This is crazy. The reality is, whatever we want to pay him, Aggy can easily afford twice as much.

If he doesn't want to get into a bidding war, it's not because he's worried about the money.
