I know this place has been posted here already but I just wanted to give them a shoutout and recommend anyone go if they’ve got down time in Omaha. Cool place, I got an old 96/97 Rosenblatt poster and a A Todd Walker signed ball, they’ve actually still got a Bregman signed mini helmet. He gives out free beer and keeps a tally of the fans who drink the beer (we’re winning). And his daughter had a bunch of tickets to the OSU/Coastal game tonight and was offering them for free to anyone who walked in. 10/10 store, will be back.

Now that is way cooler than the Jell-O shot thing

Thought about checking that place out today. Read about them in the espn article a couple days ago and they just had a segment about it on ESPN

I don't think it has changed, but it used to be cash only

That's a definite stop when I make it to Omaha.

It is a great store and Omaha and the CWS likely don't go hand and hand without the early work of the owner and those like him.

They featured that place on the 75th anniversary CWS in Omaha special they did before the lsu game. Looked like a neat shop and added it to the bucket list when I finally make the trip

Went there in 2023.

Owner is great guy, has a crazy card collection and all kind of old memorabilia and a bunch of LSU stuff.

I know the owner, Greg. He is a great guy. He is in a fantasy baseball league with my son and me. It is an auction league and we got into a bidding war for Skenes. Me for obvious reasons and Greg because he's a Pirates fan. Ultimately, I finally felt sorry for him and he won the bid. If anyone happens to go there, tell him John - owner of the Bayou Bombers - said 'Geaux Tigers'.

His brother, RIP, was a long-time sportswriter here in Omaha. So much so that if you go to Werner Park were the Omaha Storm Chasers play, you will see, 'Steve Pivovar Press Box' over the press box behind home plate.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to Greg's place. I know he enjoys talking sports and sports memorabilia.
