So this is my first time going to Omaha and as of now, I am going by myself since my buddies aren't sure if they can get off work yet.

I am staying in Lincoln since it's only about 50 miles from Omaha and I got a good rate per night at the hotel. Is this a bad drive or what?

Also, how hard will it be for me to get a ticket to the LSU games? Any fellow Tigers open to the idea of me joining your tailgate and pitching in some money or whatever?

TIA and Geaux Tigers!!

As I said in an earlier thread. Mo Valley would be closer to the stadium (in Iowa) and would have lower rates. A much smaller selection of lodging, but if price is your driver I would look into it.

Flashseats.com easiest way to buy tickets. You just buy seats online and they print them at the stadium with your id.

damn, I feel like hot stuff because I occasionally go to football games by myself....going to omaha by yourself is a damn whole different level of fandom...

Try Council Bluffs before Lincoln. Really.

I got a suite at the microtel inn in Lincoln for $60 a night, so that's why I chose there. I will check out the other places yall mentioned though.

What about the tailgating?

Lincoln is a haul. Like staying in Metairie for an lsu home game. There has to be something cheaper. Look at renting a house with a group or something.

I'm from a small town north of Omaha about an hour and a half. the drive from lincoln really isn't too bad. theres a three lane express way and the drive takes about 45 min. some other options on places to stay is Fremont which is about 20-30 min. nw of omaha.

Thanks eighteen! I will definitely be up there.

Shoot me a message with your number so I know how to contact you. I can pitch in some money to help with yalls tailgate setup.

Council Bluffs is really close. You can be there in 10 minutes. I don't think you will shave much off room prices there though. Last year I was on business and staying downtown during the CWS. The atmosphere and the freedom to walk back and forth to the stadium was awesome. Not sure I can return and do anything different. Looks like downtown rooms are around $400 per night.....

Yeah I have a suite at the microtel inn in Lincoln checking in Saturday and checking out next Friday for $370 total. I think that price is worth the 45 minute drive from Lincoln to Omaha.
