It might be the most overrated environment in college football. The stadium isn't all that loud and you have grown men yelling "hotty toddy" with a black bear(now a shark) running around on the sidelines. It always felt like I went back to the 50's and 60's when I've been to games there. However if you're a single guy and have some alcohol to spare you can get laid there really easy.

Miserable city to stay in. Avoid Oxford.

Yes, go. Webel fans can be pricks but if they lose, no problems.

If you don't know anyone from Ole Miss I would understand hating it. if you have friends with tailgates then it's really fun. They're not going to take in some complete stranger from LSU in most cases. The Grove is a fun place
Honestly their fans are really tame. I've never been bothered like I have at most other venues at one point or another. As long as you're not in some LSU pimp outfit or cargos or some shite like that they're not going to be arrogant towards you. You'll get called a corndog no matter what at some point, so just laugh it off.
their campus is gorgeous, and there are a lot of fun places to eat and drink in Oxford. I would go.
eta: also it's pretty much impossible to not get a good seat, so can't go wrong with a nice view. it's also funny knowing that you're the road team, but the stadium never really gets that loud. I say that as someone who has been to the last 5 LSU-OM games in Oxford.

My worst experience at a game by far was with Ole Miss fans. I hate that fan base.
