we will be a much better team by tourney time. Mickey and martin will get much better as the year goes on and show up more and more. this team isn't a well oiled machine yet but it will be. The football minded fans are panicking way too early.

LSU outrebounded Memphis 38-28.

Memphis 15 for 19 from the charity stripe, LSU 4 for 9.

I think we need to go 12-6/13-5 in conference and definitely need to win the rest of our OOC games... then maybe we get in.

here is absolutely no way this loss helps our chances of getting in the tourney.

it would be better to win yes

but RPI improves win or loss after this game.

Bc when you have the ball on offense at the end of a clear victory. You never shoot, much less dunk and hang on the rim. It's called respect

They need to find a 2nd scorer to go along with JOB, someone who can score in the half court, that will help some with there growing pains. Can't just pound the ball in the JOB every time.

RPI has a big impact on a teams finish, a loss to a memphis early in the season won't hurt us at all and actually helps us because it improves our RPI. We aren't going to miss the post season because we lost to memphis.

I think you need to ask yourself that first question.

Just playing in these games helps. Win or lose. Sure you'd like to win, but playing a team like Memphis this close when you consistently turn the ball over builds confidence.

We have an excellent inside outside game and an actual bench.

JOB needs to slow down on his screen and rolls. It could be called a moving screen every time.

This team's success rides on Martin being able to make the mid range jumper consistently. If he can't do that then I think there will be some frustrating games when Hickey and Stringer get cold.

LSU lacks a post presents on defense to beat any top 25 teams, they will struggle to go 500 in conference play.
