We haven’t been able to do that in 30 years. Almost no team can. In today’s game, if a team wants to shut down your running game they will, except towards the end if they are tired.
Nicholls State didn't seem to have a problem blowing our guys off the line of scrimmage. I commented during the game that they were pushing us back 2 yards on short yardage situations.

You give Miles the ball with 5 minutes up 3 or down 5 and I'll be confident that 8 times out of 10 he's scoring a TD on the ground after wearing down a defense. 4 yards hear 5 yards there may an 8 yard squirter .
