Was Bama just that good that night?

Were the kids not fired up cause it was a re-match?

The two most telling things to me were the look in the players eyes when they were going into the locker room at half time and Miles half-time interview. We had no spirit.

This is what I'm leaning towards.

The Alabama players looked the same way going into the locker room at half.

Jefferson had a bad game, OL didn't block well, RB's consistently missed blitz pick ups, and all around just out played by Bama.

If you want to see in depth just how bad JJ was...read Kleinpeter's Film Study on nola.com.

This and the fact that two fumbled snaps, a couple of pre snap penalties and some poor play calling just took the wind out of their sails quickly. Plus, they were just better than us that night.

interesting that Blackwell seemed to be a leader of the "not deserving" crowd and the OL certainly didn't show up, just a point

I read somewhere that Bama put together some different looks on defense that confused Jeff which led to lots of check-offs.

I think the team just didn't have "it" that night.

Have seen this many times before in sports. Flat as can be.

Plus, it was a rematch. We had already beaten them and our boys may have had that in their heads.

Also, Bama was the "hunter".

Half the team slowly jogged out after halftime, then about 30 seconds the other half came out, again with no emotion.

Many things did indeed happened, just not the spiraled out-of-control web versions you've heard.

And, FYI Gordy would absolutely lie about something Miles did not want talked about...

LSU lost the game even 3 games before the NC game when they said they are going to run the ball and will insist on running the ball no matter what.

This.
Regular season-bowl rematches were 3\7 before the game, I think. 3/8 now. (college kids play on emotions) Saban got rematches constantly in Miami....Les? Not so much.
Add JJ issues, Bama was psyched at redemption...we thought our shite didn't stink....we were the perfect victim. We got played.

I had an undefeated baseball team last summer.

We were dominant and had only 1 close game at the half-way point.

One night, my team takes the field and all the sudden we can't field and can't hit. We left 4 runners on base in the first 2 innings and probably made that many defensive errors.

My starting pitcher got rocked. I pulled him and put the #2 in. They hit him too.

Next thing you know - we get blown out.

We were all shell-shocked!

The loss was actually good for us. We came back down to reality and won the rest of our games.

People can come up with all the bull@&$: excuses they want to. I'll never be convinced there wasn't something internally going on with this team!

Yep...look at Saban. 24-0 lead on biggest rival last year (Auburn).....lost 28-27 in epic fail. he was motivated.

Then you are an idiot. We got beat up and down the field because we didn't play well and we didn't coach well. They just beat us. Get over it and quit trying to make it out to be something it's not.

I don't much about Gordy but, I do believe something was going on. Didn't Tim Brando say that when he was around LSU locker room something was going that was "troubling?"

If 1 or 2 starters weren't "into" a rematch that would be something internal IMO

I thought they came out pretty fired up. I just think the offensive gameplan beat them down.
