i didnt feel the need to dogpile because we want the cws championship.it could have been rough if we had lost a pitcher like ranaudo or coleman.

I think ya'll are really underestimating how tough it is to make omaha. If Mestepay wouldn't have gotten hurt nobody would be talking about this right now. Its very rare that a player gets a serious injury during a dogpile. And Mestepay is the only one I can think of that happening to at LSU

Maybe one of the coaches should have been holding back Coleman, Ranaudo and Matty Ott (who was probably directly on the bottom).

i guess there is nothing wrong with it as long as the reserves are on bottem.but that would mean matty ott not finishing the game.is he ok.

He had a tight arm the week before the game. I'm sure it still hurt him during the game the other night, but I'm sure he is okay, those accidents are rare.

no, but i wouldn't doubt it, its the end of the season, Ranaudo, Coleman, and Ott just need to suck it up, I know Coleman will. They've got to pitch as much as they can.

would make sense, we haven't pitched him in how long? Hopefully nothing to serious, his future is bright.

Negative. But the post of the day (or week I might go so far to say) was posted in this thread.

It reads as follows:

quote:

Did the Germans dogpile after they bombed Pearl Harbor? No, they didn't. They were saving the dogpile for when they stormed into San Francisco.

If one player can change the fate of this team because they are so essential, this team doesnt deserve to be national champs. Someone else on a national championship team should be able to step up and take care of business.

Are you saying Florida doesn't deserve the NC they won in football? Thats what it sounds like. One man makes their team. Tebow. Without him they don't sniff the NC and you know it. If Florida dogpiled after the SEC championship game, and Tebow got injured and couldn't play in the NC, that would be pretty fricking stupid. And I'm sure Urban and all their fans would be pissed too.

Why do they call it a dog pile. Only immature college geeks pile on to each other like that.

Immature geek pile is more appropriate.

If a team that won a super just walked out and congratulated each other would be branded as concieted, cocky and/or arragant

It would not look arrogant.

It would look like the team had their sights on a bigger prize and weren't going to celebrate until the final objective was won

Yes, dogpiling is fricking stupid. I know the guys were excited and all, but its not worth it. All it can do is get someone hurt. Not to mention, whoever is on the bottom can't breathe.

have you ever played ball? It has been happening forever. It is pure emotion! If you have never played I would not expect you are anyone to understand.
