I don't see the big deal with this comment...did they not lose to ULM? Personally, I think the "f'n Alabama" comment a few years ago was much worse. This...no biggie. I guess the truth hurts.

You ain't much of an LSU fan either,Jack. Spare me the purple and gold kool-aid crap. Find a Bama board and tell them how you feel.

I love the Bama fan who says LSU had the most talented team in history last year.

Our own team the year before was actually more "talented". Four players selected in the first round, and last year's senior class were juniors on that team. Our team this year may be more "talented" than last year.

Listening to Birmingham radio this morning, Jay Barker and crew were talking about how lucky LSU was to win the national championship last year. I admit we had our luck, but when was the last time a team won a national championship with no luck involved? You gotta be a great team and get breaks to win it all.

Did you hear this sack of crap "Paul" claiming to be an LSU fan ? This "LSU fan" spent his whole call dogging LSU and Miles.

I missed that I-59, but they get tons of callers on their show of Bammers and Barners claiming to be someone else.

At least Tony Curry was taking up for Les a bit when I was listening.

In the same breath, Jay Barker said Les was a moron, but told Al Del Greco that Tubby wasn't a great coach because he hadn't won a national championship and that is his measuring stick for greatness.

I agree. Really he is just calling a spade a spade. It is like Michigan losing to Appy... cry about seeing it over and over and over and over... or take your lump and move on.

If the US lost a war to the French... how long would it take the world to let us forget?

Trash talk can't hurt you unless you're insecure. Anyone hurt by the comment is insecure. Instead of being hurt it should just be filed on a bulletin board for down the road.

I don't think Les is a moron but I tend to not want to talk as much smack as he does. It fires the fans up in the good times but in college football you're always going to have some down years with early NFL entrees, etc. When you have a 4 loss season then all the people want to throw the comments in your face.

Les is a firey guy. I'd rather have someone too fired up and says something that ruffles feathers than somebody that doesn't have that fire. You need a few wires loose to be an SEC coach and win. Saban says his share of dumb stuff too but I'd rather have him than Shula. I think Shula is a really nice guy... but tough to win in the SEC sometimes as a really nice guy.

it's really pathetic how big of a sour-puss homer Jay is...you would think after finally getting to nail with Sara Evans he would be a little more relaxed.

Al did jump in to say that when you say someone was lucky to win, that typically meant a fluke turnover, weird bounce of the ball, etc. As opposed to LSU what executed the plays they called...regardless of whether you thought they were good calls.

Well I could say lucky to win in terms of making the NC game with 2 losses. Honestly that is very lucky. On the field against OSU had no luck involved.

Jay Barker should know about morons. He couldn't find his mother in a room full of Chinese.

yes, but you can say that most any year...in 03 it took wins by a couple of teams like Bowling Green and Idaho (probably not the exact teams) to weaken USC's strength of schedule enough to put LSU in...

Until there is a playoff... it is what it is.

I don't like Auburn but if you win out in the SEC and don't get a chance to play in the NC... the system is broken.

LSU played within the rules of the system and won. Pretty much the end of the story.

I cannot believe there is another program in the country so fixated on a dead coach as the Tide. Michigan with Schlembacher? OSU with Woody Hayes? Penn St. with Joe Paterno?

A former SEC football player saying that a National Championship was just luck...that's just pathetic. How fricking immature. That sounds like a 8 year old Little Leaguer who just lost in the finals.

In his defense, Jay did also say that there was an element of luck in his '92 teams run to the championship.

I really didn't mean to bring Barker up to start a bunch of people bashing him. I know him personally, and he is a quality guy. A bit of a homer, but that's his job. That's why they have a Bama player and an Auburn player on the same show. Jay just chose some poor woords this morning in the LSU discussion.

That game was a lot closer than it should of been. I don't think LSU expected to trail with five minutes left in the game. Les should just coach and prepare his team, which he does better than talk anyway, and maybe he could avoid a home loss to Arkansas, or going down to the wire with inferior teams way too frequently.

The SEC is the strongest conference in the nation......you don't call these teams inferior.

Get the sand out of the vagina....
