The post extra-point and field goal song was changed from Tiger Rag to Fight for LSU after the Alabama game in 1987. This was done because the "a$$holes, a$$holes" chant was clearly heard over the ESPN cameras and an Ole Miss fan comment in the Morning Advocate about Tiger Band leading obscene cheers.
It was returned in 2000, when the band changed Pregame to turn the LSU formation for the East upper deck.
So, it was banned for 13 years and the exact same chant came back. What makes anybody think that any of these chants will be eliminated?

You nailed it man! You are truly a better person than 85% of the people in the student section. You should make a thread detailing "acceptable" rowdy behavior so I can learn to be a true Tiger fan. Show me what it's like to love my state oh passionate one.

And the student section has all sorts of vulgar stuff they have said for years. All the new vulgarity is in response to the administration trying to censor them. Anyone with half a brain could figure that out. When they made it known the we're taking away the songs everyone liked, it rallied the students to just do it to everything. Do I think that's a dumb response? Of course I do. But I'm not going to sit here and say students should lose tickets over it.

Yes we were on TV in 87-91. Not every week, but we absolutely were.
I'm not saying we weren't vulgar or rowdy WITHIN THE STUDENT SECTION, but Holy Christ we didn't shriek "AH AH" or "STTDB" in unison as if it were a badge of honor and everyone on the planet would be so impressed with it.
We did yell "Bama won't you bite my arse" and "go to hell Ole Miss" and "kick their arse" instead of "LSU" at the end of the "Go Tigers" cheer.
What's wrong with those? All I'm saying is "AH AH and STTDB" cross the line and just make yourselves and the school like cheap and disgusting.
