Which would have accomplished exactly nothing. Then you have who running the defense? He wasn’t getting fired after three games for what he was making and his history with the university.

Anyone.

It shows your team you aren't going to put up with it. I listened to o's interview at media day and he talked about it. Said if something is wrong he is going to fix it right there. He was talking about the pelini situation.

O let it fester all year. My guess is he felt it wasn't right early on.

plus he was garbage at Youngstown state and never coordinated a defense against the offenses we see now. Just another bad O hire. I hope he struck gold with Peetz and Jones

Go ahead dude, show us your posts from last year when Pelini was hired warning everyone that Ed O had just made a bad hire.

Here is another. Quit trying to find people to "run Joe Brady's offense". Coaches should own their team (your offense, your philosophy, your process), not rent from others...at this level of football.
No shite! And at least all the coaches in America ran their own offense instead of trying to copy those other guys "Wishbone/Triple Option", "Run n' Shoot/Gun", or "Wing T". Of course, none of the NFL coaches tried to copy the "West Coast Offense" either.
New to football, huh kid?

It's just frustrating. For a coach who is so dependent on his OC, DC, and PGC, he sure does seem to make quite a few mistakes when it comes to hiring them.

Go ahead and pull out your posts from last year warning everyone who was praising the Pelini hire, i.e., virtually the entire Tiger Nation and all the former LSU players who played for Pelini, that it was a bad hire. Let's see if your criticism is today legitimate or nothing but cheesy hypocrisy.

Just like Lane Kiffin was his guy, Bo Pelini was his guy. He called him up, he’s pumped about the 2019 season, knows he’ll need help with the following season and believed Bo could provide that. There were also so many other variables or factors which led to Bo being a failure which also makes you idiots look like you have even more of a vendetta against O.

Pelini wasn't his guy. Kiffin is his guy, yes, but pelini is not.

It was a huge mistake. O has never coached with pelini.

He has coached and known kiffin forever. The two things are not alike.

Delpit, Queen, et al would have responded favorably to a personality which is nearly universally regarded as abrasive and offensive?

That does not seem to be the opinion of players who were on the 07 national championship team.
When the hire was made, Hester expressed high praise for Pelini and his relationship with defensive as well as offensive team players.
Maybe he was just blowing smoke?

Hester has permanent purple and gold glasses on, probably best not to listen to him for expectations on hires for the program.

Did he really? I am skeptical. If they have an average record he needs to go.

What’s worse than not interviewing your DC is telling the public you didn’t interview your DC. That’s some Les Miles dumb statement there.
