Keep on voting! Scott is getting the second most votes coming in right now. At this rate he will be in the top three or four easy.

Colt McCoy should be much higher. He is 70% of total offense for UT. With that said he hasn't played anyone yet, neither has Bradford or Ringer. If CS can rip off another 100 yards against UF he will be Top 3 IMHO.

I've seen the threads on ESPN's Battle of the Bands, and finally went to the site and took a listen. As a conservatory-trained musician, here's how I rank the bands and why:

1. Georgia -- Most imaginative and elaborate arrangement, well performed. Loved the obbligato on the sideline percussion. Sorry guys, gotta be honest.
2. LSU -- Close second. The arrangement was a little too straightforward for my taste, and I didn't like how LSU's fight songs were quoted here and there (thought it was cheesy). Nevertheless, LSU's brass had the best power, sound, and intonation of any other band. Now, if we could just get the players who are resting to sit still -- I hate all that wiggly ridiculousness.
3. Texas -- I liked their arrangement almost as much as Georgia's, and the playing was fairly clean. Their percussion was particularly crisp. I appreciated the presence of actual dynamics in their performance as well.
4. Clemson -- Clean playing, good dynamics, reasonably good arrangement. Not super exciting, but not boring either.
5. Florida -- Here's where the genuinely bad/unimaginative arrangements start. The "chomp" theme in the beginning (or whatever they call it) was hideous; they would have been better served to leave it out. From there, the score was very boring. Technically, the performance was okay, but uninspired.
6. Auburn -- ditto Florida, but with an even more unimaginative arrangement.
7. USC -- Good grief! The attack of almost every note by almost every brass player was fracked! Unquestionably the sloppiest performance of the batch. Blech!

No way those obbligato you're speaking of is what is throwing everything off, IMO,,, I don't like it.

ESPN just listed his name in this week. Most of the other names have been there several weeks ago.

Scott rolling in pretty well considering that his name just got listed.

300 more votes and he passes BYU QB "Max Hall"

You may claim to be a musicial professional, but your obviously not a good judge for this competition. I don't think that the whole point to this competition is to be the best sounding, (which I think TGBFTL obviously was). The point is to look good and convince others to vote for you in a 1:30 min video. Tiger band blew every other band on that page away. I'm not being a homer. I may not have been the most creative musical arragement, but it made up for it with the horn flashes costumes and Les Miles.
