it's not that stupid really

he knows the offense wont change much, i mean it never has. and you know he feels completely disrespected after the NC game, as he should

why risk injury, just go now

hope Russell Shepard stays with the team. He is a great player and a great ambassador for the program.

And you can get drafted in the later rounds of the draft with just talent
This. I think a team would pick him up sooner or later. With the right coaching he can become a Percy Harvin type of player.

Stupid?

Think we are going to suddenly "air it out" ???

with an above average QB, which we're all hoping Mett is, we'll throw it alot more than 14-15 times a game. Especially with a "pocket" QB

So Choc, if Mettenberger is an above average QB, and Lee and JJ aren't, why wasn't he used in the Championship when nothing else was working?

He can't look to next year to improve his draft status; he's barely used now.

Another season with LSU wastes his developmental time and talent

If he declares for the NFL, I'm sure he's realistic about the draft. he's probably hoping he can get on any squad as even an undrafted free agent, and become a role player, in whatever way allows for he and his family to capitali$e on his natural talent

I wish him all the best. If i were a player in his position, i'd leave early after that last game

In my opinion, Miles's decided at this point that he was a beaten man and a beaten team.

Maybe so, but with over a quarter left in the game and only down by 15, it is a two possession game and with some type of spark to shift momentum, it is an entirely different ball game.

We can't overlook the fact that Bama was out for blood.. Maybe Miles felt like no matter what he did, the way Bama was playing there was nothing that would have worked.. But you have to at least try.

Just rewatched highlights from his freshman and sophomore season. geez what a waste of talent

anyone get really excited when he had that 50 yd run vs. UNC in the opener last year?

So much potential flushed down the toilet

He reminds me of a Joe Adams with his speed and shiftiness. Except Arkansas actually uses Adams.

it's better to go out on a 13-1 team than a 6-7 team

If he is leaving, which I can't figure out any other context this tweet would be alluding to, losing Shep would be big. Production wouldn't be lost on the field if he leaves but he is an extremely hard worker, a leader, and really an ambassador to the university. He makes a difference on the sidelines and interpersonally. His talent wasn't utilized well on the field but within the football program and the university as a whole he is important in my opinion.

Two tweets say he's considering the draft and NOT transferring. Sorry, can't link.

Hmmmm.

I bet he comes back.

If you think this team will be 6-7 next year you are out of your mind.
