If he has a terrible 1st quarter, then let's see what Lee can do and go from there as to which QB plays the remainder of the game.

let's do what it takes to win the game...if that means an ugly offense with JJ running 10 times, that's fine with me, a win is a win is a win. It's quite possible that the staff knows they have a shitty QB situation on their hands, and are doing what it takes to give the team the best shot at the win.

I think the coaches see it as a :

A) Look ugly and finish in the hunt for a West title

B) Look pretty and risk an 7-5 finish

When people on here call a guy "high risk, high reward", they use it to emphasize the "high reward" portion. . .they ignore that the person is equally high risk.

They are Qui Gonn Jinn before the Council with Annakin. .

frick, I'm a nerd

Even for those posters that think our current staff are idiots, I can assure you that they KNOW they have a shitty situation. I posted this before the season started-a great practice QB that is an unknown quantity in the game and another that just doesn't get it, and probably never will. And what appeared to be the solution to this problem got 5 million reasons to bail. The QB position appears destined to be the anchor this speedboat is going to drag all season, and maybe even worse, next season.

Interesting fact about JJ since start of '09 season:

He started '09 with only 4 interceptions in his first 9 games. Since then, 5 games with 5 interceptions (one in each of last 5 games)

I tell you this, Tiger fans don't give a crap about JJ's morale!! If he stinks it up the first drive and second drive they will boooo him soooo bad he'll cry. We've had a crap horrible offense the past 2 years. It's up to him and Miles/crowton to have a clean crisp start. Life is tough he's had 17 games to "GET" the offense. If he can't do it now it ain't ever gonna happen.

Are we all in agreement that:

1) Both should play
2)JL should start/play
3) JJ should start/play

I wonder how we could make this a poll?

I was listening to ESPN radio the other day and they had two NFL analyst describing the QB situation of the New York Jets. On analyst said that Sanchez will not be a good QB because he cannot go through his progressions. If his first receiver is covered, he begins to run around and gets sacked, makes a bad throw, or throws it away. The second analyst had a different opinion. Sanchez is going to be a good QB if the coaching staff gets confidence in him and opens up the passing game. Instead of short conservative passes they need to let the QB stretch the field. Also, they need to throw on first downs more. Does this sould familar?
My point is I beleive both analyst nailed the QB situation at LSU. Lack of progression reads, conservative passing game, and lack of trust in the QB.

Why do people keep saying that Lee is more accurate? His completion rate does not suggest that conclusion at all. His interception rate does not suggest that at all.

Jefferson's UNC Game

Everyone is ragging on Jefferson for the UNC game. He completed ovr 70% of his passes.

Lee has never had a start where he completed 70% of his passes.

Let me restate that so it sinks in a little bit.

People who complain about JJ's UNC game should realize that Lee has NEVER had a start with a completion rate as good as Jefferson's UNC game.

Jefferson's Vandy Game

Jefferson completed only 40% of his passes against Vandy. That is horrible.

However, Lee has had four starts that were as bad or worse. Yes, worse than Jefferson's worst game. Even though Lee has had fewer starts than Jefferson, he has had far more games at or below 40% than Jefferson.

Indeed, Lee has had more starts and more games where he threw at or below 50% completions than he has had above 50%. And that's including his 1 for 1 perfomance against Vandy.

And even though Jefferson has played in far more games than Lee, Jefferson still hasn't thrown as many interceptions as Lee.

Because backup quarterbacks are the most popular guy on any LSU team. There wasn't a more hated player on LSU than Lee when he was at QB for a long time, and now all these people want him back like he's Peyton Manning.
