I think it's faster than that. Jefferson has **maybe** the first half of MooState. He sucks this time, he's done.
I want to agree with this. i see JJ's rope as pretty damn short right now

My post for the official QB thread...
Neither QB is a good option, period. As a result, our inability to pass will ultimately lead to the demise of LSUs season and potentially Miles tenure at LSU.
Reason being, people will recognize we cannot pass and stack the box, effectively stopping our running game. State will be the first to really try this, and as such, this will be a good litmus test for the rest of the season.
One bright spot, a Lee led LSU team in 2008 averaged 31 points per game but lost several games because of horrid defense. Well, the defense is outstanding this year and deep. We should be in all games going into the fourth quarter.
In the SEC, you don't have to have a world-beater at QB, only a QB that can convert third downs and keep a defense honest. As of the moment, JJ does not fit that bill. We can only speculate that Lee fits that bill.
One encouraging sign to me about Lee is the physical shape he came into this season with in view of past years. He seems to be serious about playing (or starting) and is not backing down after tons of adversity.
Lee at least needs a shot when the lights are brightest, not in garbage time when the game is in hand.
I think Les and GC need to get Lee into the game at least two series in the first three quarters to see how he and the team respond this weekend.
I think the love that Lee would receive in Tiger Stadium this weekend might help erase many bad memories for the kid from the past couple of years, especially if he comes in and leads us to a score or two.

GOD BLESS YOU CHICKEN
I have been begging for a comprehensive thread on the QB situation since Saturday night, it has been out of hand since the 4th quarter and the \"5 yard pass heard around the world\"
Try not and take so long next time

Florida 06 pops right out of my mind. They won a NC with Tebow and Leak splitting time.

i don't know if JL will do any better than JJ but i'd like to find out.

It has to be short. You cannot have a quarterback that can't move your offense and allows defenses to stack the box.
Someone who cannot provide a ball to your receivers so that they can utilize their speed and skills in space. Failing to do so again and again, as JJ has done THIS YEAR....will not bode well as teams with more speed are able to press on these issues even harder.
The rope has to be short, because you would need JL to have significant time in game situations with the #1 offense before the meat of the schedule hits. Making a switch like that before a major opponent is setting the kid up for failure.

he shocking fact is that Miles says they have no plans of playing Lee at all this week despite the abysmal performance by Jefferson last week. He "can't even envision that". As if the fans are complete idiots for thinking PERHAPS Lee could help our stagnant passing game so maybe he should be given a few snaps to see what he could do. Nope. Let stick with what hasn't been working for over a year now. They are not even going to give him a chance. Not even a series or two. Very puzzling.
this is not entirely true after reading the actual quote. also LM is not gonna say anything of any substance to the media. why would he ?

Fast forward to last Saturday...while Jefferson stunk,
Oh great chicken man, does thou ignore your own rule of not talking bad about a player or will you whack yourself? (Would this be called whacking the chicken?)

Well, the 2006 Florida NC team immediately comes to mind.

He was instrumental at beating us...stupid jump pass.

Chicken, another solid idea might be a poll either on the board or on the homepage as to which QB the fanbase would like to see play/start on Saturday
This way, we will truly know how the all-encompassing masses of the tigerdroppings family stand

quote:off top of my head. Georgia in 2002 won SEC title w/ Shockley getting a few series a game. Spurrier did it several years in the late 90s. Vandy a couple of years ago had their first winning season in 25 years with a 2 QB system. And of course LSU did it throughout the Charlie Mac era. Not saying these are great examples, just listing some off top of my head. I'm also not in favor of a true 2 QB system unless QB #2 brings a totally different skill set to the table.
can you give me some examples?

I've seen some other programs splitting time with QBs and been successful but they usually have some different quality about them. Like one is more athletic than the other, while the other is a pro style. Kinda like using multiple RBs.
I don't think JJ is a running QB like LSU wants. He looks extremely uncomfortable doing so. He seems like like a Pro style QB...who can run at times. Yet, Crowton wants to devise schemes to make him run. I just don't get it.
The problem with the offense is far more than just JL/JJ, its definitely the scheme and Crowton's inability to adjust it to player strengths. I know this isn't about coaches but I think it directly affects how JJ/JL play as well as the rest.
