No one knows, but it's probably the only scenario where we could get O on staff as DL coach. otherwise, I think we'd have to hire him as DC

If you hire Yaw Yaw as DC you will regret it. Pendergast as DC with Yaw Yaw as DL coach would be a home run.

I don't want it, but yaw yaw seems to repeatedly say he wants to be a head coach again. I think that means taking nothing less than a DC position, unless someone close to him like Pendergast jumped into the equation

After reading up on Pendergast, I wouldn't be upset at all with Chavis and Brick leaving if we could get someone like him to come in with Coach O.

Make him DL coach and Associatte Head Coach. Some fancy title that would enable you to sweeten the salary. I don't believe for a second that LSU will hire Yaw Yaw as DC. But you are talking about Les.

Say what u want about les but, aside from the one yr co dc fiasco, he has hired quality assistants.

And to his credit, he moved quickly to fix that situation.

Pelini has openly said he went to a lower division because he never wanted to get back in the coordinator position.

Looks like Miles and Pendergast coached together in Dallas, so there is a connection

You are right. I like Les but his Gameday decisions and the lack of quarterback development baffles me. Why doesn't he recruit a QB that fits his scheme? Good Luck to you guys in your search. Remember: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Knows Lane Kiffin offense, can defend the spread...he would salivate over the athletes he would have here

I had to read the Fox article to get to know who we were talking about. Read about half and I'm on board.

This is the right type of hire - focused, game adapter, stop spread, and has gotten great reviews for lots of coaches.

This would put the worry about Chavis behind us - THIS would be an upgrade.

Would definitely be an upgrade or at the least comparable IMO though I like Pen better. I just don't really mind Chavis leaving always thought we could do better as we have the horses.
