Rice has a starting pitcher with 146 strikeouts and opp ba .196. Do they save him or pitch him against the lions? After that the pitching staff is very soft stat wise

Possibe super regional matchup with Coastal Carolina. They have 3 hitters with at least 15 HR's..
Hitter's ballpark?

Coastal Carolina's season schedule results aren't that impressive. I think NC State has a better chance to come to BR based on their results. I haven't checked NC State's player/pitcher stats yet.

I guess looking ahead gets down votes. Try AccuWeather for the long term forecast. They're pretty good.

Has anyone heard from our pal tzimm? He hasn't posted since his BS in the game thread against Miss State...Taking a chicken imposed nap?

Their first ever regional, and they get to come to the Box for it. Should be quite the experience for them.

Maybe they'll head down to Nola like Brown did.

Since NCAA put limitations on the roster to 27 which remaining players do you think will be left off?

Same ones that were left off for Hoover I would assume

I would save him if I were Rice. It really doesn't matter whether you lose the opening game or the 1-0 game. Still play the same number of games. I'd argue that if you are going to lose one of those two games, it's actually better to lose the opening game because you will likely play a weaker team in the loser's bracket, and you would be going into the 1-1 game with the momentum of a win.
FYI Duplantier's (Rice's pitcher you are talking about) last two games pitched (both against Tech) he was hit around pretty good.
5/25 4.1 IP 3 ER 5 Hits 2 BB 9 K
5/19 4.1 IP 9 ER 7 Hits 3 BB 8 K
Granted Tech's offense 1-9 has been on a tear lately, and LSU not so much...
