Better question. Does anybody remember the last time we hosted a regional and didn't play the first game? Ive been leaving from work early for what seems like years now. Every year.

Totally blows southeastern didn't get in but u can't be 1 seed and lose twice to the 8 seed and still expect to get it only winning one tourney game.

the SLC really messed themselves over w/ the top 4 seeds (SELU, NW St., Nicholls & McNeese) in the tourney going a combined 2-8

Yep, and unfortunately they were all Louisiana teams.

3) Nicholls St. (Thibodaux)
4) McNeese St. (Lake Charles)
ETA: I have my own reasons for being real interested in the Southland teams right now

Missouri State at #8 is interesting. While I am impressed with they're ballpark, I don't see them getting out of that regional.

#1 overall seed hasn't won in a long time, so who cares if LSU is the #2 seed. No actually advantage to be the #1 overall, just adds pressure.
