If we held on to the rest of our signees that haven't been drafted, what kind of class would we have? Top 5? Top 10?

For the sake of this excercuse, lets pretend everyone drafted til this point is gone.

Jacoby Jones not being drafted tells me it's a lock that he's coming to LSU. He was #38 on BA's Top 100 HS prospects.

some experts on the topic... (from May 19th)

LSU...
by far has the best class right now. That could easily change though if most of those guys sign pro contracts.

+1
LSU is the easy choice here. I’m intrigued in what Lee does. I’m thinking right now that he’ll go to LSU to play baseball and football, then eventually pick one. I think he has the potenital to be a high profile player in both sports, like Jeff Samardzija a few years ago.

Hard for me to fathom...
Choosing college when you’re a surefire first rounder without the signability issues. I guess he really likes football. It’s such a financial risk, though. Sports medicine is better than it was, so there are fewer career ending injuries, but still, I’d rather have the money in the bank.

I hear ya
I definitely do agree with you, but he’s gotta make a tough choice. Either way it’s a win-win, but it’s also a lose-lose

Leblanc shot up out of nowhere and could have gone in the top 5 rounds or so, but when he signed with Tulane late he became a signability question
Isn't this the guy that Rick Jones offered a full ride to? Could be the reason he fell, same as Jacoby Jones for us...

That probably cures our third base ills next season. Edward moves to first base.

Did somebody leave Jones's name off the draft sheet or something? This is unbelievable.

Oh yeah! I'm really excited to see what type of numbers Jones puts up. He'll be a 1st round talent by the time he's done in BR.

Jones could bring power to a lineup that will need it next year.

Jones goes to the Astros in the 19th round. With McLane's stinginess, no way they even give him anything remotely close to what he'd be asking. He'll be a Tiger. Book it.

Nope, no way. He'll be a Tiger for sure. That's why he's lasted this long. The MLB scouting report said he "isn't far behind" Manny Machado...and Machado was drafted #3 overall. He's that good and teams realize he had a very strong LSU commitment.

If Chad Jones couldn't get the money he wanted at 13, you think Jacoby Jones is going to get the money he wants at 19.
