Problem is college baseball isn't big enough of a money maker nation wide for them to give a shite.

I'm not disagreeing with you. The more rounds these guys fall, the better chances it is for LSU to land them obviously. Less likely to dish the $$$ out.

and in the case of Jacoby Jones, he reportedly has a full scholarship to play baseball at LSU. Which is very, very rare. He has nothing to lose by coming to LSU if he keeps falling

Well, they dick Basketball over pretty bad too.

Stupid that you can have a Freshman allstar team and the next year you're rebuilding. At least do like Baseball and make them decide to NBA out of HS or stay 3 years in college...

Day 2 of the draft, has been very kind to LSU for the most part. Can't really complain right now.

I heard that garin had a pre draft deal. He knew where he was going and what they were going to pay. I think the agreement may be there already.

He's gone. No chance of him coming to LSU.

Agreed. If we get past the 10 round threshold I'll be giddy.

Jones is a Boras client and they aren't real sure what his best position is, those are the main reasons he has dropped.

BraveTiger as far as the draft age is concerned, if you are 21 at the time ( which Cecchini will be) you are eligible, or if you're 21 within 45 days after the draft you are eligible. It doesn't matter how soon they turned 21 before the draft.

No and we're actually doing better in the draft than I expected. I thought Jones/Gausman would go higher. Everyone else was about expected so far.

A class of 19 for about 9 spots, so apparently PM planned on attrition via the draft this year.
