Perfect game on Alex
If he shows up, I could see him playing SS or 2B. He will play, period, because we need his bat.
I think Geonte Jackson could get some PT if he's good defensivly. We need speed in the OF and he could play SS or OF. You gotta think he could play 2B as well.
I'm not aware of any really good MIF waiting in the wings on our roster right now. Therefore, I think CF,SS, and 2B could be between Bregman, Jacoby Jones and Geonte Jackson. Possibly Jackson in CF (our OF is really slow) and whoever looks better defensivly at SS between JJ and Bregman, with the other at 2B.

Alex Bregman is a 2012 SS/C with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends Albuquerque Academy. Medium athletic build, some present strength. Very advanced right handed hitter, deceptive strength, fluid swing, short and quick to the ball, good balance, squares the ball, pull power, confident approach, aggressive. 6.84 runner, solid infield actions, good balance, works through the ball well, fluid exchange and release, throws carry. Also catches, raw footwork but quick hands and feet, playable arm strength, 1.87 best pop, will keep improving with repetitions. Plays above his physical tools, top performer, 2010 USA Baseball Player of the Year for his performance with the 16U National Team. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisiana State. Named to the Perfect Game All American Classic team.

Not trying to crash the party, but Nola has company.
Miami took Vandy SS Anthony Gomez in Round 6.

Bregman seems like a sure bet for 2nd base and Jones moving to SS.

Didn't think Jennings would go that high, he must be better than I thought. We should still have a good chance of keeping him.

well, there is a CF we could use.
dont know much about him, apparently a CF with solid speed and some power.

Despite being his team's leadoff man, Jennings was a power hitter for Evangel, slugging 12 home runs and driving in 31 runs. The LSU signee also stole 23 bases in as many attempts

Jennings’ older sister, Morgan, is a bat girl for the LSU baseball team. His younger sister, Claire, has similar plans

Washington will also have to use a large portion of their pool if they expect to sign Giolito.

Well that worries me. He might have also given them indications that he was eager to sign a contract over going to school.

Calm down sugar. He'll be at LSU.

I know his connections to school but a 6th round pick is way above what was expected for him, you can't ignore that.
