People are questioning Les Miles control of the team and questioning the character of this team.
This is a positive thread for people that have LSU's back no matter what happens.
As a fan you have to get past this and support the guys who will be out there Saturday.

I'm upset at the poor choices these players made, but I believe if we stomp a mudhole in Auburns arse with our best players out of the game it will bring a ton of more positive media attention to the team.

My support is for the TEAM that is on the field on Saturdays, not those that do things to the detriment of the team. When said individuals make it back on the field, they'll have my support ... until then, they were dumbasses for doing something to get suspended. JJ was a dumbass for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but he served his time and now has my full support. The same can be said for Mathieu, Simon and Ware.

There's a big difference in supporting the team and making excuses for whatever certian "teamates" do.
Theres also a big difference between making excuses and simply not piling on and kicking players when they are down. Spare the moral outrage. Players smoked some weed they shouldnt have done it but spare me the "THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE FOR THE TEAM THEY ARE JEOPARDIZING THE CHAMPIONSHIP RUN" crap....we wouldnt be on this run without them and we can shrug off one game without them then welcome them back. I guarantee a lot of those kids you are supporting on saturday and players on the saints on sunday are "jeopardizing the team" but jsut didnt get tested

There are a ton of people here that have no fricking clue what that difference is, or rather just choose to ignore it.
This is how I feel as well.
I guarantee you if you had to post your age with your post this would all make alot more sense.

The fact is that these kids work hard and have made a mistake. It is not the first time someone has failed a drug test.
Even under the sabonator Damien James wouldn't even take a drug test because he already know what was gonna happen.
We will get past this and people just need to cut the shite and support the team. We already have enough haters in the national media and from Rival teams.
I can swear TigerLee is Paul Finebaum

We don’t know these athletes. We know some things about them. We try, with varying success, to know more things about them. Beyond that we fill the gaps with our own imaginations. We infuse them with character traits and various qualities that they may or may not possess. Every few days, a famous athlete will do something or say something that will remind us once again how little we really know them, and how we CANNOT know them, for better and worse. Being an admirable athlete does not necessarily make someone an admirable person. Being a despicable athlete does not necessarily make someone a despicable person. Forgetting this is one of the big traps. The biggest athletes are not our friends. They are not our neighbors. They are stars.

I support the team no doubt but just very disappointed in their decision making. You would think these players would understand the risk but with success they are gonna live the good life.

WTF does this not being someone's first time failing a drug test have to do with anything?
I swear to God, with some of you Im almost certian one of these players could come to your house, sleep with your sister, slap your mom and steal your dads cigar IN FRONT OF YOU, and you'd still justify it.

GEEEEEEEEEEEES.
If you choose to be this fricking niave about this situation go ahead.. I wont even waste my time anymore.
I jsut want these guys to focus on football.
Thats it... that is the only reason they are at LSU.
Not to fight and not to fail drug tests.
They're here to play football.

And everytime I read one of your posts I always say Im glad that I agree with nothing you say. You have completely forgotten that these are kids and they dont owe you anything. They are doing normal college kid stuff. Doesnt make it right but to act like they should be choir boys because they are on the football team is stupid.

they are also in college. They are going to party. You go to school to get a certain degree but I'm pretty sure you partied too.

It doesn't discount the hard work the other kids put in.

But that's just it ... they're not normal college kids. They're college football players, in effect being paid (thru tuition, room and board, meals, etc) to represent the University. When these things happen, believe it or not, it gives the University a black-eye. If they don't want the scrutiny, then they should just become normal college kids, pay their own way, and fade into the background.

I think your taking what I said the wrong way. I just want people to support the guys playing and not dwell on this.
I realize its wrong but we have to move on and play with the guys we have saturday.

finally agree with you on something.
Only problem is, this isnt about me.
This about this school and this football program and the reputation that it upholds.... and to them/that,,, YES they do owe something.

LOL. I too want to support the team... right here on the OFFICIAL thread!
Also, I want to thank the fans who are showing their support. Former LSU players are tweeting their support and encouragement. If I were privileged to be at the game Saturday, I would stand and cheer for this team till the last second on the clock expires. I want them to go into their bye week knowing that all the fans are supporting them with good wishes, prayers, and thankfulness.
