Brah, when there are so few people taking up for your position in a thread, and one does so(quite eloquently I might add ), perhaps it's best if you don't take a shot at him and make yourself look even more the arse.

You are the most deluded loonie on this board, but you do make me laugh when I read your foolishness.

Carl, what you did was give a brief synopsis of both sides of the current polarization.

Which part of the paragraph below is close to my thinking on this matter?

Another thing they tend to do is assume that appreciating what Miles has done means you think he's better than Saban. Which again, is complete bullshite. Sammich is the only person I've ever seen on this site or in real life who actually believes that Miles is a better coach than Saban. The only one. And I'm not even sure he really believes that. Yet the rest of us supporters are retardedly accused of it. I love Saban(though you might not know it on here because I love LSU infinitely more). I think he's the best coach in CFB right now, and probably one of the better ones of all time. However, he is not available. So, should we all just fricking kill ourselves? You first.

I think it's pretty hopeless.

There's quite a bit of evidence to support this "lunacy".
Compare each coach's 3 best seasons at LSU.
Compare each coach's 3 worst seasons at LSU.
Compare W-L records.
Compare consistency of quality product yearly.

I'll go one more by saying one has a MNC that left little doubt in minds(except UGA)who was #1 with a fairly thorough trouncing of the opponent.
The other just seemed to hold on for dear life and hope it was over soon, causing us forever having to wince at the AP asterisk.

Do you want to go on record as saying Miles > Saban, or are you just trying to be provocative?

PeeJay, you're just mad because I made you face reality about how uneducated you are and how you are not the LSU fan you think you are.

Those are 2 things I can't help you with.

support Miles cause he coaches LSU. I just think LSU could do better.

You weren't on his side even when we were having back to back 11 win seasons. What you and I both know is that your disregard for him, like alot of other people's disregard for him, is not about the results. It's about him. You wouldn't like him even if we went 14-0 next year.

I'm only gathering physical evidence to solve a silly debate about a 5yr coaching span.
I for one understand that what is, is. Saban will never have more wins at LSU than Miles, only a chance at better %.
Actually, Saban's LSU win% shouldn't be so difficult to stay abreast of.
As far as who's better coach, I hope it turns heavily in Miles favor since he (Saban) heads a program that owned us for decades.
Why would so many wish differently?

So, you have no opinion on who is the better coach?

Or, you have an opinion, but will not share that opinion with the rest of us?

Nobody here hopes differently. In fact I will speak for everybody who is a part of the Tiger Nation in saying we all want this "Tide" to turn in LSU's favor. And for those who are less than happy with CLM, it is as much because we don't see this happening under his watch. If anything, long as Saban is coaching Alabama, it will probably get worse. Although he did improve things at OSU, that was a different situation. At LSU and in the SEC, CLM is not the kind of coach to really turn things around for the better.

I'm definitely a supporter of Miles. He's a solid coach, and while there are definitely better coaches out there, I still think Miles is a Top20 head coach in college football. I'm concerned about the last two seasons, but I'm confident Miles can get things rectified. And If he's not able to get us back on top in 2010 or 2011, we'll go a different direction at some point, but we're not to that point just yet.

Things aren't as bad as many irrational fans make them out to be. While we were a couple plays from being 7-5 in 2009, we were also a couple plays from being 11-1. Keep improving at the QB position (which we did in 2009 btw) and get better offensive line play and we're back to being a 11-1/10-2 team easily.

I disagree. There is at least a handful of assholes who don't want Miles to succeed so they'll be proven right about him. Like I said, it's not about results. The people I'm talking about won't like him if we got 5-7 or 14-0.
