This doesn't help anyone here, but I thought it might give some perspective on the demand for CWS tickets.
I have been on the waiting list for CWS season tickets since 1998. After receiving my 11th annual letter informing me that I was not getting tickets, I called the CWS ticket office to find out just WTF was going on. I was told that I was in the top 150 on the list and that I MIGHT get tickets next year or the year after. I was also told that the waiting list was closed in 2003 because it had grown to such an unmanageable size. People already on the list will continue to get correspondence from the CWS but they will not add any new names to the list. I did a site search and found out that the list now has over 1,400 names on it. I don't know how that compares to waiting lists of other athletic teams or events.
When I finally make the top of the list, I won't have to depend on LSU or anyone else for CWS tickets.
And that's the Cliff Notes version.

I have read all of your posts. You sound like a TRUE LSU fan.
I want to drive to Omaha for the 2nd & 3rd championship series games. I would greatly appreciate any help you could provide to get me reserve tickets.
I will be glad to pay you a handling fee. I am willing to pay $100 per ticket including your fee.

JP, gonna give you a call today. I made my flight reservations and should be in Omaha Monday night at 11:30. I guess if you could let me know Monday how early you had to get in line to get the GA tickets upgraded, it would be appreciated. I plan on doing that for Tuesday and if so on Wednesday too.

ok Weaver...sounds good. We actually are going to go to Rosenblatt on Sunday and try to get some tix. We'll probably get over there at 5 or 6am (box office opens at noon).
Just give me a call if you need anything or have any questions.
Also, just a reminder for everyone else, here is the Championship Series Ticket Info page... LINK
eta: Hey weaver, was that you that called me earlier? I had a random number pop up. If it was you, just give me a call when you get a chance.

JP, it wasn't me. I will call you tonight. The bad thing is I won't have a car, but I will take the cab or use a shuttle service. Now I just gotta book my hotel room. Any ideas where? Someone mentioned Hampton Inn in Bellvue.
