Technically, this isn't being negative. If this isn't a fact...it's about as close to a fact as possible.

Personally I'm still trying to convince myself that he isn't coming, b/c I don't like being disappointed. Deep down, I'm starting to get a good feeling though.

Hilarious a ton of EF Hutton mother frickers on this thread. Really? Most don't have a pot to piss in and there giving Brice advice. Amusing... what they would do.

His family is independently wealthy. That's why it's even a choice and we can rightfully speculate.

It's HILARIOUS that you're on your high horse when you obviously don't understand the full scope of the situation.

Does he start over Hal Hughes/Josh Smith?

Smith to 3rd Turang at short and a competition at 2nd.

Brewers guy is basically saying he has a take it or leave it offer which is why they are spending now. They aren’t negotiating a price still, he will have to sign at their number or go to school.

I'd say that's extremely likely.

Turang at SS, Josh Smith at 3rd, & competition of Broussard/Dugas/Hal Hughes at 2nd. Maybe even Bianco at 2nd as well.

Actually, I think Dugas & Bianco have a better chance of beating out Broussard at 2B than Hughes does. You know that Broussard is going to give you good defense & great speed on the base path. Hughes doesn't bring anything to the table at 2B that you can't get from Broussard. If Turang comes...Hughes will be the backup SS imo.

Hughes seriously needs to work on his hitting, but he's a legit glove at SS. It would be nice to have him as a defensive option if the situation calls for it.

I've been in Turang's corner to get him at LSU from page 1.

I've been told it's 50-50. I think what it means is that they know what they are willing to pay for Turang, and they are using what's left of their pool space to buy some other H.S. players out of college commitments.

I’m just curious as to if they were willing to give him the 4m they had at one point or if they had their number set for a while and he was trying to get more out of them. The timing of all these signings make it seem like they were holding out and decided to put the ball in his court now

Turang is the starting SS day 1. He's that good.

Hughes would bring even better defense to 2b, Broussard just runs better. I’m not counting on either to be productive next year, so I see Dugas starting 2b and if Turang doesn’t make it here then we will just have to play a defensive SS

Maybe. Possibly even probably. Still, I'd rather Broussard at 2nd than Hughes.

Broussard is a good 2nd baseman & blows Hughes out of the water in everything else. I just don't think Hughes' defense is that much better than Broussard's that we should have to deal with a .225 hitter in the lineup.

I'm a huge baseball fan, but I cannot see him turning down 4,000,000$ on Friday, there's not going to be much more than that 3 Years from now.

Baseball is a sport where anything can happen and there are no guarantees, but Turang could be the type of player to step on the field and be an immediate impact. IMO Smith performed better at 3rd than SS. Broussard offers you a little more bat than Hughes, but Bianco and Dugas will come ready to compete for PT.

I would too, but defense wouldn’t be the reason is all I’m saying. A Dugas/Turang middle IF would be a fun thing to watch for 3 years. I’m praying it happens, but if not it will be interesting to what the infield looks like

But .220 with good defense at ss> .260 with good defense at 2nd. Especially when only 1 other guy is really capable of handling the spot. I see Dugas as a 2b/3B for what it’s worth

Unless either can start hitting, I'd prefer they both stay on the bench.
