Switch the first and second game scores and that looks good to me.

Its more likely we get swept than us sweeping, imo.

Im with you. Teams dont always play on a constant level, they play up and down. They are not always as good or bad as they look. This feels like it may be a letdown spot

I said 1/3 would be ok and 2/3 would be great. I also tried to reality check the rest of these people who are assuming sweep. I do say we win 2/3 though because we are just better than they are.

ETA: I said also 3/6 on this road trip would be fine.

I'll fb him and ask if he's down

But I'm with y'all. It's hard to think this level of insanely good baseball can continue, especially against our toughest foe thus far. 2 of 3 is seriously outstanding if we can get that in their house.

Just holding off on crowning em. We only have 2 legit starters and 1 great bullpen guy. Add to that, we haven't beaten any team who will win a regional. I think LSU is the best team, but i'm cautiously optimistic.

And of course the inevitable rant meltdown when we do lose a game.

if lsu keeps the strike outs down, we will take 2 out of 3....as we all know, arky's fielding is shite. If we make their pitchers work and we put the ball in play, we win. On the flip side, if our at bats are short and end in K's then we are in trouble.

All of this being said, i like our chances to achieve the above. Laird will have a monster series IMO.

My shorthand recipe for postseason success in college baseball is:

(1) 2 great starting pitchers
(2) clutch hiting
(3) stud closer

I see success in our future, brah. The only additional thing I would add to that list would be a reliable long reliever, and I think BON VUL LON is best in that role.

Amen. Booj-wah is a good setup guy. I think LaMarche is coming along well to be in that role as well.

Im making reservations in Omaha. Id say i believe

The fact is if we keep hitting like we are now, nothing else will matter but one weekend our bats will be cold. I just think it will be this weekend.
