I think whoever is in that spot is going to need help from a HB or TE

Hurst or Josh D. Either one obviously cannot hack it on their own.

Yep. Josh D. was held out of some practice this week with inflammation in his knee. He is expected to be back and starting for the Florida game.

Best of luck to Vadal!

i'm not a fan of Hurst. But we're talking about a 5/10 vs a 0.5/10. Josh D is BADDDDD in all aspects. On half the running plays he doesn't even attempt to block anyone, and when he does try its basically the same result.

our best hope was to have him get worked against Towson and force Les' hand, it appears we're going to blame injuries for his poor play though

and no matter how bad he plays vs how good Alexander plays, he'll still get his Stud's favorite vet reps to kill drives throughout all big games like T Bob did.

josh d holds the recipe for a very delicious green chilli, stud only gets it if josh continues to start

He had multiple weak games last year. At some point, you look at guys with size and physical ability not playing up to what they should be and start questioning what the hell is going on. I'm not sure Hurst moves well enough to be an above average SEC level tackle, especially given the accolades he received pre-season with supposed good NFL ability.

It's not just one player, some of it may be miscommunication of blocking schemes with interior linemen, but watching replay you see things and go, "WTF are these guys thinking". Getting beat is one thing, it happens, looking clueless multiple times in a game is another.

Injuries happen, but PJ sure seems to suffer a lot of them, too, including last year with T-Bob on one leg filling in multiple games at center. Regardless, none of the guys are 100% after the first game or weeks and months of practice due to the nature of the sport, one can only guess what they are dealing with game-by-game.
