Auburn and Florida both had a once in a lifetime QB's that could get 3 to 4 yards by themselves everytime they touched the ball! With a capable QB our offense is hard to stop, Les and Cam proved that last year! Let Harris put on 15lbs and learn the O this summer you'll see a way different O than this years next season! Harris body was no way near ready for Sec play this year, some of the shots Jennings took would've broken Harris in half! The Harris show is coming be patient. I know it sucks but just wait!

It doesn't matter what kind of offense you run, if you are not physical you are not going to win the national championship. A good balanced, 55/45-60/40 run/pass split is ideal. If any of these high flying, hurry up offenses would figure out how to be extremely physical upfront while running their system they would be almost unstoppable. Without it, someone throughout the year is going to figure out a way to stop you, whether that be from great x's and o's or just a matchup nightmare like how LSU was JFF (and A&M in general). The advantage that a balanced prostyle offense has is physicality. In tight games, there are several times that you need to be able to line up in a single back or I set and just say I'm running right at you, stop me if you can and get the tough yard. At the same time on first and second down they are balanced enough to keep the defense honest. There is no perfect offense, as there is no perfect defense, but the traditional offenses give you an advantage in close games, which are the ones that make or break seasons.

tl;dr: Balanced, prostyle offenses will always have the advantage over the spread because they keep you honest, but when they need to can line up and get the tough yard when everyone knows whats coming. That's the difference in close big games, which are what defines seasons.

let me know when an SEC team wins the SEC or title with the worst statistical QB in the conference. LSU 2011?

That was Lee's season.

Wasn't he above middle of the pack in efficiency and stuff? He wasn't the worst statistical QB in the SEC

but most on this board that talks Offense is talking about having a Baylor, Oregon type O

no they don't. I haven't seen one person on here post that they want a HUNH offense and I have been involved in a lot of these threads. I've maybe one or two post say they would want to do some of the things Oregon does on offense, like use misdirection, read option, etc. and balance the run and pass, but no one wants the HUNH

The offense has to get better, in order for LSU to win a NC period.

LSU was in the top 10 in the country this year in time of possession so how is the defense on the field too much?

Warning: Rich Rod is a high-powered offensive coach. Looked what happened to him last night.
Would you want him now? I'm just saying, all changes are fraught with danger.

This is ridiculous. Talent was the problem more than scheme was.

Lee actually led the SEC in efficiency in 2011. and Jordan was above average in efficiency as well. his overall rating was closer to his 09 season than his 2010 shitshow.

outside of the Bama games, and the UGA game (where I thought Jordan was actually worse than he was in the BCSCG), we were generally pretty efficient passing that yr.

An Offense that averages 200 yds a game with a 60% completion percentage is all LSU needs.

if Les left, yes, Rich Rod is a guy I wouldn't have a big issue with. provided he got a good DC.
