1) Get a new hitting coach- the striking inability to work a pitch count and not swing at junk compared to FSU was glaringly obvious. You need to have discipline at the plate to get these opposing pitchers into high pitch counts. Also, our overall top to bottom batting averages is pathetic. We a few guys above .300 - that’s awful in CBB

2) Hit the weight room. A lot of our guys look like they haven’t gained any weight since they stepped on campus. We need some meat in the lineup to slug more pitches out of the park

3) LHP- get some of that. Astounding that we don’t have one lefty in the bullpen.

and i would say this team can't hit and idiots here actually argued that we were a good hitting team... lol

we are soft on the mound and at the plate

it's been time for a new leadership...I like pm, but a change is needed...

4) Bring in Mr. Myagi to rub his hands together and heal all our "hurt" arms.

Do you think players, particularly pitchers should be hitting the weights hard during the season?

Off season ok. I wonder how many injuries are because of workouts during the season?

They aren’t going to Planet Fitness on their own
They are working with local weight lifting trainers that are recommended by former LSU players
They will not do anything if they are injured...Hilliard didn’t do any off campus weight training last off season due to his soreness

Hopefully, #1 redo the Intimidator to include 2019.

Aside from that, we need a hitting coach. This team lacks plate discipline. They also need to evaluate why we have all of these injuries.

This is not to be overlooked. This year arm problems train wrecked our team strength.

It’s obvious because the coaches have different strategies. It’s not a lack of coaching the causes LSU to not work pitchers, it is CPM’s philosophy - with which I strongly agree.

If LSU had FSU’s strategy you would be gnashing your teeth at all the strikeouts and letting grooved fastballs go unchallenged. I like CPM’s strategy of encouraging the hitters to be aggressive and jump on the first good pitch you see.

What's the difference in a strike out and week fly or a ground out. likely 3 to 7 extra pitches and it gives our hitters more looks at what the pitcher is throwing.

LSU has 4 kids batting over .300 Smith Watson Dups and Garza. Really Smith is the only one I'd give the green light to early. Everyone else should be taking the USM/FSU plate approach especially in a 3 game series when you need to get to the opposing teams bull pen to bust a game open.
