You realize that Brennan likely has two years of eligibility left?

Well that’s not true

If Brennan had two more years left he’d play for 7 years

2017 Freshman
2018 Redshirt
2019 Redshirt Sophomore
2020 Covid year
2021 Redshirt Junior
2022 Redshirt Senior

Brennan has one season left. 2022. That’s the whole reason he’s transferring. He wants to make his final season count.

I think there's been speculation that he could get a medical redshirt for this year. I don't think that's true, but I admit I'm not super familiar with the medical redshirt process. Anyway, I think that's where some people are getting that he could have 2 years left.

There’s no such thing as a medical redshirt. A redshirt is a redshirt and Brennan has used his. The NCAA will grant an additional year of eligibility if someone has been plagued by injury. Those are for on the field injuries. Not injuring yourself outside of football fishing.

Brennan is not going to stay and compete for a spot. He wants to go where he KNOWS he'll start. And stop typing...it's not the same thing as "it's obvious he'd start because he's better." He still doesn't know that, and that's a deal breaker for him. He wouldn't risk doing an about face and coming back to the team only to ride the pine. A vast majority of fans might think he's the better QB, but it's not set in stone. He wants it set in stone.

I have had the opportunity to talk to Kayshon over the summer after the covid year and he always talked good about LSU even after a down year. He also balled out before he got hurt, if he plays and we have a decent game plan he will be tough to match.
