Observations on the attitude of Bama fans

I live in Georgia so, unfortunately, I'm around a lot of Bama fans... The past 2 months have been interesting.
1) There is a pride/arrogance among those fans... they seem to feel it is their right to be at the top of the college football world.
2) They are the elite in college football.. the royalty.. so to speak.. LSU is a bunch of lucky crazy Cajuns in their opinion.
They seem to approach college football like Kentucky in basketball.. absolutel over the top. I can't see a Bama fan saying "it's just a game.." :)

You are correct. Nick Saban describes Bama Fan best (probably without realizing he did) when, during a post game press conference he tells the media, "we don't have many celebrated wins around here because of the (fan) expectations!" the quote
That's because Bama fan feels that Bama SHOULD win all there games. I think Saban hates this attitude and is one reason he wishes he could be the LSU coach again.

I quit worrying about what Saban thinks years ago. I appreciate what he started at LSU, but I prefer CLM . Saban and Alabama deserve each other.

I ran into a female Gump at a Christmas party a few weeks ago. She started in with the trash talk almost immediately but I was having none of it. Finally I told her that the the great thing is that at least the SEC streak would continue. Her response: "Who gives a shite about that?"

Living in Dallas, Bama fans are starting to remind of Texas fans. With A&M bolting to the SEC, UT fans are so butthurt and refuse to acknowledge any part whatsoever in the fact that their selfish, entitled attitude had anything to do with Colorado, Nebraska, A&M, and Mizzou not wanting any part of them anymore.
It's sad to see that same attitude starting to bubble up out of Tuscaloosa. One of things I've always loved about the SEC over the Big 12 is the camaraderie and family atmosphere among the schools. I used to like Bama prior to this year (except when we played them-I always cheered for them over Fla and Auburn). I'm starting to see how much like UT they are and I've grown such a disdain for the Longhorns after coming to LSU in the '90s. The other member schools would do well to keep them in check, lest they blow up the league with their selfish, entitled bravado.
