I bet he doesn't point out that Georgia was down 3 of their top 4 defensive linemen for the LSU game.

Pretty lame analysis. Extremely.

Best way to do it would be to eliminate Bama and then use avg yards per drive and avg points per possession.

Since our defense is very good. We likely have more offensive possessions than other teams which leads to more points.

In sum, what we really need up figure out is our effeciency per drive.

Objectively we’re better on offense than 6 other teams who lost 4 or more games this season and sucked on offense if yourmove a goose egg we dropped.

The thread was updated reflecting all 8 sec games, and the results remained the same.

The thread was made concerning a thread a few days ago where some of you guys stated the offense was garbage overall, not just against Bama. The numbers I provided don't state whether lsu was garbage or not, but rather compares us to all other secw teams.

The numbers you provided are useless. Just a heads up

LSU 28

OM. 24.14
Auburn. 22.42
State. 22
Ark. 15

So we're better in ppg than

1) a team with a first year coach
2) a team under sanctions with a first year coach
3) a team whose coach might get fired or leave
4) a team who has a first year coach who didn't like his QB.
5) Arky...need I say more?

Is this where I am supposed to be impressed? Also you know what helped LSU here? All the other teams had to play Aranda's D.

Keep in mind, the offense did score 4th quarter TDS to take the lead in their two road losses, but the defense couldn't hold the lead.

That's how I know you're not truly just posting stats. Funny how you fail to mention the D scoring for us to even get us to a tie game or the fact that the offense could have easily out ATM away if they don't run on 3rd down. It amazes how so many posters on here blame the defense for the loss when they are the entire reason we were able to keep it competitive.

I think that is very fair rebuttal. I just see a bunch of people blaming all of the losses on the offense and I don't agree with that.

I can't imagine hammering teammates when there is plenty of blame to go around. If I am on offense I would be thinking screw that guy and that is what you can't have on a team.

Honestly, 3 AA on defense makes me think they should have been more dominant than they were. Most years (even in the Les Miles Era of 100th ranked offense), 3 AA's on one defense, just seem more dominating. I didn't have many times that I was completely comfortable with a lead.

Did you ubdate the Op?

Because including Alabama and excluding OT we scored 24.5 PPG in conference.

Kinda hard to dominate when your shite offense puts you in bad spots constantly.

I guess citadel has better players than us at key positions

Or what about when E had Guice, Fournette, Chark, Dupre and a good O line. Just couldn't match them again I guess.

Here's points per play with Bama numbers included

LINK

We rank #5 in the conference. #42 in the country.

We need to be top #2 in conference and at least top #20 overall

A lot of improvement needed, in other words

Our d was middle of the pack secw. The numbers don't lie, on offense or defense. This wasn't an opinion, but rather facts based upon data. The haters don't like it

No they don't. If you use all 8 conference games LSU is behind aTm. So, LSU's offense is better than the #9, #10, #12 and #14 offenses in the conference.

That's definitely something to hand their hats on.

Our defense was actually #14 overall in the country and #3 in sec. Effeciency wise. Why are you lying?

It wasn't. Just not very good, but nothing new for LSU. Red zone offense was disappointing.

The lack of a running game and wish washy offensive line were the primary problems

I think Burrow will explode next year and we have some running backs with real speed coming in.

The issue here is objectivity. Low level thinkers have to have everything match their own biases.
