He stepped up and did well, what does he get for it? A fricking ingrate shitting all over him on a message board.

What did you want him to do install another offense midseason.

No Ben, never implied this, just if it's nacho offense, it shouldn't be used in the evaluation of an OC.
Real football isn't pick a play NCAA14 and real OCs have to install/teach tech, spacings, timings, routes, angles, reads, etc, etc.
Calls from a playsheet are a small part of the job.
Go back to bed and get up on the right side.

Any coach at LSU will be compared to Saban.
The SEC is the toughest coaching gig in the country.

Jimbo/Herman - because those are the two guys he was ostensibly hired instead of.
Yes, they were the first choices but he wasn't chosen over them. They chose other deals. The 2015 Jimbo deal was torpedoed by the PTB and Herman was never coming here as soon as Texas canned Strong.
Yes, he has to beat Jimbo, Herman etc and achieve more. However, the alternatives were Fleck, Fuentes, Fedora, et al, none of whom have set the world on fire.

No but you had no problem ridiculing the man for his implementation of the offense.

Maybe you should look into some of your own posts and to the posts of others.

It's funny that you lecture what the duties of a real OC are while thinking that all Steve did was make calls from a spreadsheet. You simply can't make this shite up.

This was said in 2008 and 2009 too.
You are only stating this because there is no way to prove it. I dont believe it for a second.
There was absolutely no empirical data to suggest Les would have turned things around. Mentally, he appeared lost. He certainly wasn't going to change his "square peg=round hole" mentality on offense which would have spelled doom for us.

Well, except for the fact that he had done it before.
However, there absolutely is no empirical data to suggest that O will lose less than three games.

Dude you are out there.
I want to personally insult you but that time has passed.
All I can say is your posts are embarrassing and pathetic.
Get the frick over it.
O is our coach.

What is untrue about what I said?
I know it hurt your feelings, but step back, emotionally detach yourself and tell me what was untrue. I’ll wait.
And You may want to seek help if my statement makes you want to personally insult me.

I can assure you my feelings aren’t hurt.
I’ll take O over LM everyday so I’m winning.
You, meh not so much.

O has clearly exceeded Les Miles. He had to rebuild Miles roster.. that was bare on the line of,scrimmage.
No one is going to be xceed Saban. Completely unfair.
He has already exceeded Herman. Herman has a much better recruiting base and a far far better funded school. Texas has been and will,be a great football school for a long time.
Fisher left FSU in a complete disarray. He is at a school in a much larger and better recruiting base. TAM has far far more resources than LSU
Lsu needs to win games and championships

Maybe. That’s speculation. Too bad O has never done it. I can’t even say that his time has passed him by. He’s never had it.

But you’re still losing at least three games a year. Congrats?

Luckily for O this is only going into his 3rd season as Hc.
Time is on his side.

Yeah....
I like Les, but he just didn't have it all together at the end.

Final rankings:
2 Alabama
6 LSU
9 Texas
16 Texas A&M
Nick Saban: Annual salary $8.3 million 12 years at Bama
Ed Orgeron: Annual salary $3.5 million 2 years at LSU
Tom Herman: (Hot Lips/Kissing Bandit) Annual salary $5.2 million 2 years at Texas
Jimbo Fisher: Annual salary $7.5 million 1 year at A&M
Tom Herman Is The Biggest Jackass In College Football
And that is the article's title and not my words.
Tom mocking Drew Lock - a college football player:

Jimbo all bowed up to 13 year old girl in stands because he knows she can't get to him. She was pissed because those great recruiting classes (at the very least the 2nd best in the ACC) resulted in a home loss to unranked Louisville and a losing record. She would have whooped his butt.
