Brady was a newbie, this guy is 42 years old with a dozen plus stops on his resume. Nothing sticks out as noteworthy.

Idk if this works out for Ed or not, BUT...
A failed HC, journeyman position coach, who transitioned from interim to permanent head coach won a NC last year. He beat the defending national champions who were also led by a guy who was a position coach turned HC.
Ed will live or die by these coordinator hires. And that’s okay. Let it work itself out.
