If we lose to Bama by 14 points this next year you guys will throw a parade for the coach.

Just think if we ever have a lead for a single second against bama under O. Rodger will want a lifetime contract for O and Ensminger.

if a coach turns out to be very successful (as in Dabo) then it wasn't a bad hire, it was a great hire. Make sense? It certainly does to me.

That’s because you are using 20/20 hindsight. It the case of Swinney he was a complete unknown but Clemson was also a 2nd tier program that had little to lose at that point. The AD and those around the program also have information that the public doesn’t (yes that could apply to O) There is no magic formula that guarantees a coach will be successful

Sorry cat. We don't do better than 10-3 this year it's time for a change.

Hopefully that's made it through your hive

Did we? I'd swear we lost to Bama 20-13 in 2014.

There were no parades thrown when Miles lost games. Or any other head coach before him. Head coaches before o were expected to beat Bama prior to the 2016 season. That bar has been lowered since o was hired.

I believe it.

People turned a 14 point loss in 2017 into a rallying cry. "We comin"

Fricking sad.

Well Goldfish got really excited about the prospect of a 14 point loss. Take it up with him/her

24-10

The rantards say Orgeron was a bad hire, regardless of how well he ends up doing at LSU.

Overly simplistic.

O could be a good hire, he is not yet.

The hiring process for O was epically shitty and misleading. That is a fact.

Regardless of how O ends up, the way he was hired WAS in fact, terrible.

The only time we legitimately had a better program than bama was at the beginning of the CLM era...well we see what happened under CLM leadership

I don't know why this concept is difficult to understand.

You know that's what people mean.

AND, if the hire was made in a bad way AND O still doesn't win more than 10 games this year, then the hire does in fact become pretty bad.

Good leadership typically make good, transparent decisions in strategically purposeful ways. The hire of Ed O is not even close to competent decision making or part of a clear vision. Even if O is successful, it will be luck rather than planning that made it work out.

Orgeron was hired to win championships. 10-3 will keep his job though, I'd prefer we move on

It didnt for miles.

Here comes your SUBJECTIVE 9 game stretch over 2 seasons.

Miles was going to be fired after 2015. The only thing that saved him was financial OPTICS.

Being the 1st p5 program with an open coaching job. Offering the 2 most obvious choices and then hiring a 52 year old career dline coach that had never in his life proven he could run a successful side of the ball.

That way.
