This is some sad BS. A heretofore mediocre (at best) backup has a decent outing in garbage time against a bad team and suddenly he’s not just improving, he’s better than our starter.

He had a good game but it was obvious when he came in that they were giving him easy short throws to get his confidence up. A lot of his passing yards were YAC. It was really smart coaching by Denbrock and Kelly.

1. It’s time to consider Boutte “just another guy”. He’s not the star we thought he was, and with guys like Nabers/BTJ/Bech that’s okay.
