he could have a similar season stats wise and as long as he makes the playoffs he will be drafted somewhere in round 1 and be a legend

First off, he risked a lot of money by turning down going pro this offseason with such a shallow QB class. He did that to chase a ring here. And that’s after he stayed here instead of transferring and waited on his shot. Those things mean something.
Nuss has also taken a big step up in his leadership role since he made the decision to come back to LSU. He recruited and met with all of the offensive portal guys. He made it his mission to help us get the guys to help us win a title. Not all players do that. Coaches, players, media- EVERYONE agrees that he is the unquestioned leader of this offense.
Those are pretty damn good qualifications for 18 to me.
