Nuss as a starter would have thrown 19 INTs

And LSU would have gone 7-5.

He is developing and maybe next year he can be really good but in 22 JD was the better choice.

There’s no way of knowing this…

We mighta gone 10-2 or 11-1 just as easily.

I just disagree with the ranter notion that avoiding interceptions should be the goal of an offense. Its not modern football and it clearly isn't successful from a production standpoint.

You can see instantly how a defense alters their approach with QBs gunning downfield, they have to protect from getting beat deep because it only takes a single throw to put the ball in the EZ.

Alternatively, it takes Daniels like 10 minutes and 15 plays to get a TD because no one thinks he can beat them deep.

I see the point you are trying to make, but what happens if we project JD's numbers out of the season after the FSU game?

You are counting on the same results you saw in a half (vs the TOP DEFENSE LSU he has played in 2 years) - this is without sticking to a running game and wo reps as the starter.

JD improved so would have Nuss and will.

If you would rather watch JD go out there and take a bunch of sacks and 3 and outs because he’s scared to throw the ball instead of watch Nuss sling the damn thing downfield and make a couple mistakes in the process then you’re just a pussy.

Losing season possible with Nuss...JD was the only choice.

If race wasn't involved, people would be singing praises of JD and he'd be hailed as our guy.

Now for some reason Nuss throws a few pretty passes after being known to just throw ints and all of a sudden it's "JD plays selfish" and "JD's scared to throw."

The dude beat Bama. He helped get us here.

What's the only other explanation?

INTs don’t matter when you’re moving the ball

19?? I think you are selling him short brother. Over/Under should be 25. But yeah, let’s start him.

I’d argue we don’t lose FSU and a&m with Nuss.

We lose to TN and Bama is a toss up.

We just saw both qbs playing the number one team in the country. One was vastly superior. No one has ever mentioned race you pathetic race baiting pos. You think people give a frick what the race of the qb is? Why do you loser’s always want to involve race. Why? You just can’t be normal.

He has thrown at least 1 or more in all of his extended playing time.

Were those all against the top defense lsu has played???

But Nuss has done it in way more than one game and even the coach has said he has this issue so it must happen in practice also.

No making the decision on until alone isn't always best but when you can pretty much mark off 2-3 TOs before a game starts that's not good. LSU likely loses to Bama, UF, Arky and Olemiss if you give up the ball 2-3 more times this season.

Even if that’s true, Nuss is worth at least 1.5 more TDs/game than JD. The INTs would be nullified with his willingness to go downfield. Some of you have Les Miles syndrome

Maybe the fact he holds the takes to many damn sacks causing the offense to be off schedule. I don’t care about his skin color.

Such an idiot. He should have gotten substantially more playing time. No question about that.
