How many games has Nuss played in? No sense in playing too many games and burning a year at this point. I don’t know exactly how many he’s played in so far, I think 2? Which would give him 2 more?
I actually went back and looked, I believe he’s played in 3 games so far, so he can only play in 1 more game. It would be silly and a waste IMO to play him in more than 1 game down the stretch
Burning the redshirt would be a short-sighted and emotional/irrational decision. So that’s probably what O will end up doing

Burn it. LSU players don’t stay full 4 anyway. Only kids who need time to develop should redshirt. Any kid that can help should play.

Yeah no sense in burning a potential redshirt for Nuss. I believe he’s played in 3 games already. And on top of that he only played 3 drives yesterday and limped off the field after the TD starting him against Bama behind this O-Line would scar him. But the narrative that we need to start Johnson just because of his brother is goofy. If his brother decommits because Max got benched then wouldn’t he just transfer next season anyways if Max loses the starting job?

While that’s correct, this season is a total loss, no reason to burn a possible year when we’re playing for nothing and a new coach will be making his own QB evaluations regardless of what happens the rest of this season

If Nuss doesn’t play more he could leave at the end of the year. They all could. That’s why you play them now.
