I don’t think Nuss is a 4.5 guy, but I also don’t think we will ever see him run a 40.
Let’s say for the sake of argument he is a 4.7 guy. That’s plenty fast enough for a QB to run a couple of times a game when the field is wide open. That assumes Nuss slides instead of taking hits of course.

Burrow was listed as a 4.82. Burrow is fast enough in my opinion.

Let's say Nuss is 4.8. There is something in football called recognition speed. You can run a 4.4 but if you are slow at recognizing there is an open running lane 4.4 is the same as 4.8. Joe Burrow was fabulous at recognition even though he wasn't a burner. Daniels had both blazing speed and recognition speed. If the coaches can teach Nuss how to recognize open lanes earlier he will be fine. Hard to teach that though.

If that’s the case, he needs to use it once and a while.

He gets a little faster when he is trying not to take a hit. Ok, I'm being hateful because he would throw picks to avoid a hit and roll around if he did get hit. I'm hoping to see some toughness added to his development for this season
