Also I'm pretty sure the TV guys have someone else keeping the scorebook. I understand that Jim keeps his book as well as calls the game. Now if any of you have ever kept the scorebook, you know the level of concentration that takes. Try doing that and broadcasting a game at the same time.

or maybe, just maybe, he should stop keeping his own score book? why are you making excuses for his poor game calling?

You made a list of horrendous mistakes Hawthorne makes that offend you so much.

I already made a list of legitimate criticisms that people have of him. Other folks have added more legitimate criticisms as well.

That you chose to ignore the list I made is your issue. It's there already there and need not be repeated. Especially when no one has once made an attempt to refure anything on the list I made. Instead, they've chosen personal attacks or pure inanity.

No bro, Hawthorne has the shittiest seats in the stadium, didn't you hear?

Also he has to keep his own scorebook, so that distracts him.

You'd think after about a century of bulding baseball stadiums they'd stop putting the broadcasters in the worst seats in the house.

Hannagriff keeps the book.

That's why he gets so pissed if you mention Jack Hunt on a call in show, it'd be different if he messed up and admitted it and was a good sport,

Let's talk about all the great radio moments from this season.

I particularly enjoyed the 20 minutes dissertation on improper outfield lighting that followed two missed home run calls in the game at ULL.

How about the call yesterday when the ball went over Yaz's head in right:

"It's over his head....Ibarra...he stopped...now he throws...buh...guh...run scores anyway!"

Hall of Fame stuff there baby

Being a 40 yr old Atlanta Braves fan, I grew up with Pete Van Wieren, Ernie Johnson Sr., Skip Caray, John Sterling and Don Sutton. by comparison-ALL other basebaball announcers suck. I can't listen to anyone.

I'll start...
he's more exciting to look at than he is to listen to.
